the proudest moment of my life , from pain to understanding the value and importance of the occasion , Old Boys should be invited to witness and partake because only together can we keep the culture alive ....Ahoyi ma Elephant ahoyiiiiiiii...always a proud Elephant
There are people who attended this school, but are NEVER proud of being Old Miltonians due to unfair treatment they got during these war cries. Only those who attended Milton from Form 1 are proud of this school. Those who joined later (especially at Lower 6) will ALWAYS tell a different story. You'll always be treated as an inferior and useless outsider.
I joined form 3 . I’m a proud elephant . Most of my friends joined lower 6 . Never did l here them mention their previous schools . Just like l havent . Because of this moment right here .
Cringeworthy and sad. This is more like recorded bullying. Nothing at all Miltonian about the conduct especially of the videographer who sounds like he's high on something. And the boys look forced and reluctant with some hiding from the camera. Compare with Harare schools war cry and see the difference. Cry the beloved Milton. Lafa elihle
Forget it. You can't have a great vibe when you subject a majority of children to tribal domination and coerce them to sing in a foreign tongue. The lethargy is symptomatic of protest. Is this how bad things have turned Mthwakazi? Milton high? Really?
Ah school hymm war cry yoh these boys has killed war cry n wat it ia about old miltonians do something for this used to be a military school this is more like luveve Hugh or something so very disappointing
We used to sing and we be heard as far as GC in a nutshell these boys a sprougs even the upper 6 for dropping the standards so low wat form one laughs at war cry 😣
It's not the same as it used to be back then...this was the one of the greatest moments in school, the war cry.I remember we used to bunk lessons in the morning just to rehearse the songs in the common room we was going to sing during the war cry which happened some moments after break. It's a shame that most students didn't know the school hymn and the war cry.On the outset though,it's good that the tradition is still on going. You mean to tell me that after 40 years a school in the heart of Bulawayo does not have war cries in the local language and embracing local culture? Really?

Love this❤️, however these boys are lacking the energy we used to have back then💔, also seems like the school hymn is no longer important
Your Warcry is brilliant boys !

this school is in Harare or Bulawayo?
Its in Zimbabwe
Bulawayo
Exactly what I thought, not about Zimbabwe. Every city has a native language and Blues is Ndebele so it’s a fair question.
Bulawayo
Yingcekeza le,forcing kids to sing Gukurawundi songs in Bulawayo lingabosjayela kubi lina mashona

Legendary

Prince Edward School in Harare, the main school war cry is in Ndebele, so what's the issue?
