You got to tuck man. I know you are a soccer player, but I advise practicing this move bare foot when on grass or into sand and then putting your shoes on.

Tucking definitely helps you rotate faster. A few months ago I learned how to grab from under my knees on the trampoline. Currently tying to implement it on grass. Still I have a fear of going up. I go forward instead. Especially during my first few attempts.

@@StefanFitnessJourney you can under tuck if you want, but the key is getting your knees to your chest.

I'll try that. Any tips on how to make the first 2 or 3 attempts less scary? maybe some warmup drills? After the 3rd attempt I lose most of the fear and I'm able to grab my legs. Opening and try to catch the landing is another scary thing Opening at the wrong time make the landing even more forcefull especially on my heels. @@andrewjstatham

@StefanFitnessJourney you can always start with doing a front handspring or dive roll before trying the flip. Front flip is also a high impact move, so I would train on a soft surface a lot and only do a few attempts on a hard surface.

I've been training on sand for a month now. It's so different from grass. Tomorrow will be my 3rd day on grass. I need to get myself to throw one during a soccer game. Artificial grass is even harder than natural grass. Last summer I bruised my heel really bad on turf. If I get the height it's not too bad. I absorb most of the impact in my ankles and calves. @@andrewjstatham

thank you for your encouragement. I hope to achieve this by next summer when I'll play outdoors. maybe I can attempt one sooner than that I just have to perfect it and gain the confidence.
