Nah I tried a lot of that stuff and in the end they shipped a replacement to me. Even sent me an additional one by mistake which I sent back of course. The one I have now is working fine with no issues and I didn’t have to do all the file acrobatics, it just worked from the get go

It’s been about 6mths since I’ve started a beat on the laptop tbh, standalone is the way forward for me. Esp when considering the freedom you get. My next focus is to sequence and complete songs across my tools and also to record vocals. I do hope there’s some innovation to Maschine software as now I’ve worked with what MPC are doing with 3.0, portable and flexible possibilities are endless.

The Maschine+ interface is very user friendly. Pretty much plug and play with some knobs to adjust the input/output gain

Logic Pro is my favourite! You can do everything in that one

iRig Pro Duo connected to my phone for the video recording with the audio routed out of the headphone jack of my Scarlett 2i2 interface via a splitter. If I use my Maschine+ I route the audio out of the Line Out into the iRig for video or GarageBand iOS/iPad

These stay in my ears! Easy to carry and also can charge them with my phone when I’ve needed to and the sound is great too! Even if you can’t get your hands on the colour the quality of the headphones are awesome 🙌

@@salmonlion welcome to the steep-ish learning curve. Once you load your own samples it gets better because some of them stock kits are wild. If you can update and download all the available plugins and sounds as it makes the experience so much more better

Hi, at this time I was using an iPhone 12 Mini with a desktop grab arm tripod. I also used the OBS app to connect the iPhone with the OBS app. Proper basic.

I haven’t been doing much of anything bro I can’t lie. I need to figure it out and get back on it again

Thanks for supporting. I have been without it for a while now but recently I’ve been considering grabbing one but have to keep reminding myself why I have it up. Excellent machine with great sound and workflow but just didn’t fit the vision

@@whereisko Oh Yeah, true. Hope whatever you pick up soon get’s you back into the zone again! I went from a push to a maschine then to the mpc live ll. Then back to the maschine because of work. But out of all of them, it took me about a year or so to really grasp the mpc os and workflow. You kind of buy into a mindset, which we seldom take into account. I managed to hang on to it though, cause of the feels. If it weren’t for the retro look, i would of probably sold it too. At the end of the day, they all have something in common, all speak a complete different language. Now after sleeping on the mk ll for nearly two years, i'm finally picking it up again. Guess sometimes our goals aren’t aligned with the hardware we have but it can always be adjusted from time to time in order to keep moving. And tbh i'm loving it more each day. Feels like xmas each time i find a new feature.

@@whereisko My next purchase is a 512gb gonna wait til boxing day . So far no issues with the new card its reads at 180mb per second so thats almost double the read speed of the other card . When I scroll through sounds no glitching or freezing so far but im gonna make a beat today and see if theres any issues.

@@philtyrich1 have loaded any of your own samples yet because that’s one thing I haven’t got round to yet

After all the suspense and thinking I needed it, it turns out that it isn’t compatible. Odd thing is that it didn’t say that when I was purchasing although at the time I had a MPC Live 2 that I wanted to use it with 😅 recording into the Plus is a dream, the signal is so clean

Thanks 🙏 it’s a mixture of both. I’m a big advocate of the expansions. It’s also inspired me to dig through my sample library for my drum loops and one shots chopped out of drum breaks

Absolute facts! I quickly realised this when I exited the ecosystem for a while and spent so much £ and didn’t advance anyway. All other ways were convoluted. Like yourself I’m really working hard trying to master Maschine’s arranging although I’m much quicker routing to Logic than I used to be.

@whereisko Thanks. I'm battling cpu limitations (overdue a computer upgrade) so I've been seeing how far I can take arranging within Maschine2 only. I haven't delved into clips yet...but I gather I might need to because horizontal scrolling a lengthening arrangement becomes difficult! My only other issue is I haven't found the way to get battery kits and individual sounds to be triggered using the mk3 pads instead of the midi keyboard

@@morgan8937 try and turn off the effects that are in the group chain of kits and sounds when loaded. Re the battery thing: I worked out how to do that once with Maschine pads but haven’t known since so ima work on reminding myself as I have a lot of them unused

I’m about to get stuck into the sale and see what’s there too. I just see Valves advertised in a Facebook carousel and started rubbing my hands together 😅

@whereisko Ohhh yessss! I've been eyeing up Karriem Riggins drums! And for fun live fingerdrumming, I might want the jungle expansion, whatever it's called. It's an oldie but a goody!

@@morgan8937 great thing about expansions is that they give you access to the sound you’re trying to achieve so your ideas flow better without the disheartening feeling of never getting it the way you want to

@whereisko Absolutely, and because I don't continue any but my better ideas, I can choose whether or not to drag oit of maschine2 into a main daw for more complex editing. Most stuff just gets saved to expansion drive via save projects with samples! Thanks so much for the replies and have a good one!
