Shuwa, a traditional Omani dish, involves marinating meat (usually lamb or goat) with spices, wrapping it in banana leaves, and burying it in an underground sand oven. The meat slow-cooks for about 24 hours, resulting in tender, flavorful meat, typically served over rice during special occasions.

How did you get there - wade across? The old bridge has been barricaded for years. Glad you apparently met no US border patrol on the way back. They can have a problem with that crossing.

My Functional Medicine doc told me I have the Lyme but not my M.D. from UT Health. My doc at UT Health had diagnosed me with Reactivated EBV. I'm not going through exactly what you go through but I believe you & understand you. 💯

My understanding is that fluorite was mined there, which is different than feldspar. Maybe both were mined in the area(?) It is a geologically fascinating region - I'd love to check it out, Alpine as a base for the adventure. Thx f/posting!
Yes the entire area is facinating geologically. I am continually learning more about the region that I did not know before. It is magical and breathtaking. And yes, Alpine is a great base station! Thanks for your comment!
