Sun Tracking Solar Panel rundown part 2 - The Code
มุมมอง 4.2K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a somewhat high level description of the code I had to write to make the solar panel track the sun. The code is specific to an ESP8266 and a Pololu Micro Maestro and will not compile using a standard Arduino Uno type of platform. There may be a few minor false statements in the description but the main reason I posted this video was to document the code for personal use.
Dual-axis Tracking Solar Panel using an ESP8266
มุมมอง 2.7K7 ปีที่แล้ว
I used a raspberry pi model B to record the time-lapse. Seemed to work pretty good for grabbing that data. I sftp'd them to my laptop then used *cringe* Windows Movie Maker to stitch them together. The music in the video is Voices of Devs by Mick Gordon
Sun Tracking Solar Panel rundown part 1 - The Hardware
มุมมอง 5K7 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a sun tracking solar panel system that charges lithium ion batteries used for supplying power to small 5v devices. The concept here is a sustainable energy source that is more efficient than a stationary solar panel. When paired with a device such as a raspberry pi zero or similar you can have an IoT device that runs 24/7 without the need for any connected wires-like in your backyard or...
Google Cardboard Xbox 360 controlled Raspberry Pi VR Robot Tank
มุมมอง 114K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a project I'm working on that uses a Google cardboard and an XBOX 360 controller to control a robot that streams live stereoscopic video directly to your retinas. The Android code is actually a service that I wrote that gets data from the accelerometer and magnetometer to calculate the orientation, then sends that data over bluetooth to a Pololu Micro Maestro 6 which drives the servos. ...
Raspberry Pi FPV RC truck

Parts used: Raspberry Pi, Adafruit 2.8" TFT, Edimax mini WIFI dongle, old school AM transmitter/receiver, two 5v 1Amp battery/flashlight, Maxstone 16 rc truck. Software used: GStreamer on both the Pi and a Mac. I wrote a python script that texts me the IP address of the Pi to use with gst-launch on the Mac, but you could also use a static IP address, either way.
Raspberry Pi controlled RC tank via PS3 controller with video stream
มุมมอง 75K10 ปีที่แล้ว
This is an old tank I modified to be controlled via a remote desktop keyboard or a SIXAXIS PS3 controller. The battery powering the pi is a Targus APB27US 4800mAh External Battery and works awesome. The motor controller is a Pololu TB6612FNG. The video stream software is GStreamer 1.0. The program used to connect the PS3 controller to the pi is called sixad. And all the code I wrote was written...
Raspberry Pi Adafruit 2.8" TFT custom case

Here is a case I machined out of a solid piece of aluminum to fit a pi with an attached Adafruit 2.8" TFT display. I have the pi set up as a local web server at the moment. I wrote a Python script tha
Nice video!! What phone mount are you using? Is it handlebar clam or mount. I’m looking for a phone mount for my gunner.
I used a go pro 10 mounted to the front of my helmet
Oh no not the recording. I see your phone is mounted on the handlebars. I’d like to know what you’re using to mount your phone. 😅
Oh yeah! It's this one. This mount is awesome. I've used it on street bikes and mountain bikes. Super solid, just read all the reviews. a.co/d/c8UIg1U
Loved the bike as soon as it cranked up
HI
Hello
Too slow
What name saddle bag is that? I think I have the same kind. Used the steel mount bracket they make also to mount it with. I want to say Deep creek or something like that.
I have the steel mount as well. This is the bag I have a.co/d/7AcdGxE
nice ride
nice 2017 Gunner, I have one also. Best bike I ever owned.
Yep I absolutely love mine. I plan on keeping it for forever
Great job on the audio. A mom could use this to put her baby to sleep
I had just driven through here to Tortilla Flat on 10 April
Were you in your Lotus perhaps??
No, the boring 4Runner 😔 I am jealous how empty the roads were for you. I always get stuck behind slow horse trailers. I did do the drive in the Lotus, but the monotonous drive on the 202 keeps me from doing it often
@@peterjhartvideo I did this ride on a Monday morning which was why there was so little traffic
That was a nice ride, thanks for taking me along.🥰😍😘
Nice! I enjoy that ride a couple times a year. I’m in N Phx. Where is your mic located? Mine always picks up too much wind noise.
I bought a Tascam DR-05X with a deadcat and put it in the side pocket of my backpack. I had to sync the audio with the video but it seemed to work pretty well
Thanks. Ride safe!
Stupid slow piece of crap ISP.
I got dizzy watching. Did you see the leftover blood from some big road kill? I saw big birds flying and some bicycle riders. 🥰😍
Yep, that bird was pretty awesome. It was eating that roadkill before it flew away
@@thefreddykilo I love you son and so glad you are sharing your rides.
Felt like your dad and I were riding with you.
Yep, that's why I wanted to start doing these types of videos
@@thefreddykilo I saw the sign on the road Watch For Horses, wild horses?
Is this the Bush Hwy?
Indeed it is!
Very niiiiiice
Dostum çok güzel yapmışsın bende esp ile benzer bir çalışma yapmak istiyorum kodlarını ve malzeme listesini paylaşırsan sevinirim teşekkürler.
Can i use the code in esp32?
look cool i always use 2 senser you make 1 to 2
Can we get the code ?
very cool project. I just started learning and getting into program. well focusing more as before it was always off and on. inspiring to get myself working on it. i bought a robot car kit and hope to do some modifications on the already provided code and gui. thanks for sharing your project!
Sir, I appreciate your video about the Google Cardboard Xbox 360-controlled Raspberry Pi VR Robot Tank. Sir, Is it possible can you to use the Arduino Uno board to control the Google Cardboard Xbox 360-controlled 6 dof robotic arm Arduino Uno VR Robot Tank work or not? Sir, can you teach me to make on youtube how to make a Google Cardboard Xbox 360-controlled 6 dof robotic arm Arduino Uno VR Robot Tank and Xbox360 Controller? Sir, tell me about the Xbox360 Controller library with the Arduino Uno board. Sir, this video is helpful. Sir, tell me in the comment.
Totally amazing!
Can u give me source code nd circuit diagram
Can u give me your source code?
coding sir?
Did you purchase the chassis/tank some where or did you design and build it yourself?
I bought the chassis. There should be a link in the description but is probably obsolete by now. If I find the name of it I'll reply here
@@thefreddykilo There is only a link to the code and xbox controller setup. Nothing about the RC
Hello. Great project!!! Could you share the code?
This is so cool!
I like your tank
Nice work :-)
Holy shit what a cool title
How much is your cost making this vr robot?
I think the total cost for everything I used was around $400
Hi, i need the code can you share it?
This is insane! It is very impressive. I love how the camera moves when you move your head. It's Awesome!
Matrix is glitches when this drone flies
How much doest it cost?
How can I contact with you?. I have some quiz... I saw you have used hc05/06 module. I need help with getting data from hart of raspberry from android. Please help
Cool

This project is spectacular, so inspiring! Have you kept working on it? if so, could you post an update? Perhaps a web interface and a Oculus quest would be amazing! I'm trying to build something similar without the 3d vision for now, but it would be great to control it from the quest later on
How is accelerometer data is converted to move servos? Can you help me with it
It's just a linear function that's takes the sensor data as input, and outputs quarter-microseconds
@@thefreddykilo Can you provide me that function as i am not able to exactly convert the accelerometer data to orientation angle of phone for controlling servos
@@ANUJ801 oh I get what you're asking. There is a sensor fusion library that I was using to get orientation data. It then uses those values as input to convert to quarter microseconds. You can view that code at github.com/FreddyKilo/Mr_Roboto/blob/master/android/main/java/net/ddns/freddykilo/mrroboto/SensorFusion.java but I'm not sure how compatible this will be with newer versions of Android
@@thefreddykilo Thanks alot.. I appreciate the help
@@thefreddykilo I am actually trying to implement it in different way. I am using an android app wireless imu which transmits sensor data as udp stream. It provides x,y,z coordinate for each sensor. I was trying to ask how to convert this data to get the orientation angles..
You have servos or motors for the camera movement?
amazing.
come on freddy where the hell are you. i need you.
I've been here the whole time, what's up broseph?
@@thefreddykilo can you give me your contact? i wanna talk to you. some serious chats'
@@nishantnavin533 I can try to answer any questions you have right here. Is there anything in particular you want to know?
@@thefreddykilo i am building some kind of race track tournament event in which there would be rc cars with pan tilt camera fitted to it. that cam will be connected with a vr setup to different players. the players can race a rally on different tracks with their own racing simulator. we can boom this idea like playing a real time game. there will be spectators.
Can the acclerometer and gyroscope data be sent via wifi 5ghz
It most certainly could if it was programmed to do so
@@thefreddykilo which android app you used?
@@ANUJ801 I wrote the app myself. It isn't something that exists on the play store
@@thefreddykilo Okay, Its a great project. Appreciate your prompt replies... Can you share the code to control the servos using the phone's sensor data.
