Sorry, but the Kirk Gibson call doesn't work here. The A's were overwhelming favorites to win that 'Series in '88 as opposed to prognosticators being pretty divided on who they thought would win this year. However the result of Gibson's and Freeman's homers is similar in that they both set the tone for the Dodgers to go on to be World Champions.
