Vlog #5: Personal Minimalism for Personal Peace
Little did I know that a decision I made a few months ago would be helpful in reducing my stress level and anxiety during this season in my life. Last month, my 11-year-old son a.k.a. Random Ridge was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease ITP. It's a blood disorder that causes his own body to filter out his platelets. It leaves his body covered in blood spots and bruises which have to be checked daily for signs of internal bleeding. Needless to say, anxiety is at a higher than normal level. Embracing minimalism in my own personal way has helped maintain a level of personal peace throughout this new and unpredictable journey.
We are trusting God--the Prince of Peace--to deliver a miracle for a condition which has no known cure. For more pictures and updates, visit us on Facebook at TheRandomRidge/

It's okay to laugh! Sometimes you've got to find the humor in what could quickly become an overwhelming situation. Tomorrow makes four weeks since my 11-year-old son "Random Ridge" first went to his pediatrician with strange blood spots and bruises all over his body. Later that week, he would be diagnosed with ITP, an autoimmune disease that causes his platelets to be destroyed. This is a snipp...

Ever since Random Ridge was diagnosed with ITP February 2017, the whole family has supported him by embracing healthier food choices. And by embracing, I mean trying to choke them down! LOL Here's the twin sis (A.K.A. Chay Chay) struggling through her first ever cooked spinach. We hated every bite of it, but we started our day with a laugh! I apologize for the camera angle, but this was totally...

This video is raw and uncut, kind of like our emotions right now. We thought that yesterday and today would be a couple of "normal" days normal routine, normal schoolwork, normal meals, normal housework BUT they were not! And this time, it is not ITP's fault. Ridge doesn't seem to understand yet that his homework will wait on him no matter how many days are interrupted with hospital visits and ...

That's not heat rash! ...We had no idea what we were in for when spots appeared all over our 11-year-old son's (A.K.A. Random Ridge) body and the bruises followed. Thankfully, we had a good pediatrician, lots of time to Google, and Texas Children's Hospital 30 minutes away. BioResonance helped me with my ITP. It is a natural approach with natural supplements. I learned about it from Dr Lonnie Herman videos on TH-cam. One’s body might have bacteria, parasites, mold, fungus and it hosts in your organs, going after your platelets when your immune system is weak. I was given coconut oil based supplement for 3 months and it has seemed cleaned my system as I have not had any decrease in platelets for the last 9 months, which is a very long stretch for me. Hope he has strong health and a full recovery! Don’t remove his spleen and it can be done naturally. The book Wish by Spirit by Joan Young is a fantastic read about her full natural recovery from ITP

God bless you. My 14 year old ws just diagnosed with ITP in November. As a mother the Petechia, bleeding from nose , mouth, and terrible bruising. It even got to the point where the vessels in his eyes burst and his platelet cound was 2. Texas Childrens put him in isolation for three weeks in ICU bc they could not find a treatment which would work. After four treatments and 6 uits of packed blood cells, and 5 infusions of IVIG he is now at 8, but now we are looking at bone aspirqtion and spleen biopsy. God bless, I am right there with you. My prayers to you and your son, my son is on homebould until may bc of his low hemoglobin and now liver abnormalities. My prayers are with you.

I love what you talk about in this video but your voice is too soft and I have to strain myself to hear you. I have my PC sound volume turned up to maximum but it was still a struggle to hear you.

Minimalism is excellent. Took me a while to get into it but now I have dived in and I make videos as well. It creates a way better life and less stress and anxiety. Some people see the extreme versions of minimalism and think they can't do it. Minimalism is different for everyone. :)

Homeschooling is not easy. It's hard but rewarding when you know it's the right thing to do for your children. I've had many days like that in the last three years homeschooling. Still have days like that. Prayers for all of you.
