I've seen reactors who were married to men and had children with them, when Dami comes on screen, "I will cook for you... I will clean for you..." At the beginning of Chase Me they say how bored they are and need something thrilling to do so the song is daring the ghost hunter to chase them while they give him nightmares.

I think Chase Me could be applied to real life if we talk about chasing your dreams, they metion "They keep saying I can't look at it" (people try to tell you that you'll never reach your dreams) "empty people's dreams are boring, (chase me)" (You need to have something to chase that makes you feel alive). Cool! I can't wait for your next reaction to Dreamcatcher! If you are interested, DC has some of the hardest choreos out of all Girl Groups and some boy groups would have a hard time keeping up with these awesome ladies. They have some AMAZING Dance Practice videos (plus you get to hear their songs all over again...:D) and performance videos! If you do like Dance, I highly recommend their dance practice videos. The first ten seconds of 'Good Night' (the next song in the Nightmare series) is INCREDIBLY intricate and I cannot even guess how many hours they had to practice to get that down and synchronized! We know they work hard! And then, they are GOOD PEOPLE, which is even better. Good people deserve to succeed. I am so glad that you will watch (and hopefully react to) the 'This Is' series! So far, there are four 'seasons' of the series; 2020 (which actually has 8 videos), '21, '22, and '23. Normally insomnicsy releases those videos late in the year (but they also pump out SO MUCH other DC content edits, they are CRAZY! It's a labor of love though, always done with a huge heart and only the highest respect for the members). Once you start to get to know things about the members and their personalities, I think you will really fall in love with them as people. I love every one of them for their strengths and for their faults. DC is my Ult Group and I have no bias because I love all of the members equally. There is just no way for me to say 'This one is better than the rest!'. I just can't do that to any of the ladies. They are ALL my biases so that defeats the entire purpose of having one. Good on you for this. I think I should mention, nobody is really certain about anything so don't worry too much. Nobody needs to fit into any box for anybody else. The only box would be the one you WANT to fit in and that can take the entire lifetime to find (or even build for yourself). You are awesome. :)

"Chase me" was their debut, released on January 13th (a Friday), 2017. It must have been nerve-wrecking for the members, re-debuting with a genre that is not popular in Korea after Minx failed. (5 of them were Minx before.) But they already doubled their sales with this. And they stuck with the Rock/Metal vibe until today, now selling 50 times the albums than Minx did. This is the start of the Nightmare arc, which spans 6 MVs and 1 Japanese release. They are Nightmares here, and the Nightmare hunter is trying to dispel them - how that turns out is shown in the next one, Good Night. Their dance costume here is like a shortened Yukata, except wrapped right over left, something that's usually only done for the deceased. Fits well into the horror concept! Remember the ending here for when you react to Good Night!

The high notes are Taeil first and Heachan second. Amazing vocals, amazing dancing, amazing rapping...127 squad never disappoint. And Taeyong wasn't there except in photos like the big baby pic during the dance break. But he's all over the album anyway, and did some promo, too, before he left.

Regardless of however you feel comfortable identifying as time goes on (sexuality is fluid, after all!), announcing a big ol' "I like women" on a Dreamcatcher video is the most understandable thing of all time lol. for the correct order, you can definitely follow release order no problem. Just be aware that "Fly High"'s music video (3rd title track) is a prequel to Chase Me to avoid any confusion. Also, their lore contains several parallel universes. Chase Me - Piri/Breaking Out = Nightmare Era. Scream - Odd Eye = Dystopia Era. Maison - Bon Voyage = Apocalypse Era. OOTD - Justice = VersuS Era. Deja Vu, BEcause, and Rose Blue take place outside the lore. And then there's the Japanese discography you can hit up whenever, as long as you watch Breaking Out after Piri if you want the full comprehensive chronological order. Hoo, it's more complicated than I thought. I hope this didn't make your headache worse...

Dreamcatcher have the most unique/diverse vocals in all of kpop imo, each of them has such a distinct sound and personality to their voice, and you can differentiate their voices so easily

My goats♥ I went to one oftheir concerts and they are genuinely better live than in video and also super funny. When they are just being themselves off stage they are all goofy and cute, but on stage they are true professionals.

Usually they won't hold the notes out as long as they do in the MV, because they have to do choreo too, but it's still impressive. I can't know for sure of course but I think these 7 really do think of each other as a family... I'm sure plenty of the staff too, tbh. There are two "when dreamcatcher misses" videos: one for when Handong was in China for a competition show and got stuck there for a year because of covid, and one just recently for Siyeon who is on hiatus as of about a month ago for health reasons... But maybe that's for later once you know them better haha My recommendation is "their entire discography" but beyond that I will recommend specifically their radio show performance of "Propose" from May 25 2023 - it's one of my favorite B-sides
