Choral clinician, composer, song arranger and musical director, ED MANGUIAT is the founder and conductor of the UP Singing Ambassadors.
He has led the choir to garner 8 Grand Prizes and 36 First Prizes in 20 international choral competitions in ITALY, FRANCE, HUNGARY, GERMANY, SPAIN, BELGIUM, POLAND, the CZECH REPUBLIC, SLOVAKIA, BULGARIA, the NETHERLANDS, WALES, and SWITZERLAND.
A product of the UP College of Music, he has collaborated with 4 National Artists for Music- LUCIO SAN PEDRO, BIENVENIDO LUMBERA, VIRGILIO ALMARIO, and RYAN CAYABYAB - either as composer or as lyricist.
ED is a member of the International Federation of Choral Music (IFCM) and the Philippine Choral Directors Association (PCDA). He was Head of the New Era University Conducting Department. In 2015, he was conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Music.
Watch out for his compositions, vocalizations to cure and improve the voice, travels, cooking sessions, excerpts from past interviews, and Sunday School advice
