I get you're saying to visit the MNDF, but I have no idea where that is, when they're open or how far in advance you need to do it. A TikToker claimed he couldn't get it same day but didn't give any other specific. I reached out to the person I booked my transfer with who said they'll set it up for me for $25, even if I being ripped off, it's a small price to pay to have my best odds of seeing it

I have recently visited Gulhi. I found few construction work were on going. However the beach side is clear. I think you can visit both Maafushi and Gulhi. If you like vibrant environment with many tourists then Maafushi is good but if you like calm environment then Ghulhi would be better. Thanks.
