One question I have for ya is, how many of the 20 LOI stadiums have you watched a match in? I'm up to 12 stadiums now, hoping to hit Eamonn Deacy and Turners Cross next year and hopefully one of the 1st division teams away in the cup that I've not been to yet

Forrester was one of the best midfielders but I think in the last 2-3 years he's massively lost his pace and stamina, the best current player is Gannon I think, had 1 off season with Shams but outside of that, the medals speak for themselves

Think it’s a bit silly in my eyes, if it was the presidents cup it’d make far more sense, not the teams that finished 2nd and 8th. It’s like having Liverpool and United in Wembley

My main issue with it is the choice of club's, its very disrespectful to do this kind of match and dont include the current champions of the league, i understand its a money thing and promotion, etc, but why isnt the Presidents cup played at the Aviva? Its literally a match of the League champions vs the cup champions....

Can’t argue with any of those picks. Haven’t heard too much clamour for this fella winning it, but for me it’s Podge Amond (Watts and then Barrett). When I think of who’s a player that’s played out of his skin this season it’s him. Just been pure quality the whole way through, caused absolute chaos almost single handedly for defences, and scored 14 goals for a Waterford team that was pretty unfancied at the start of the season Clear winner would be Will Jarvis if he stayed the full season, but otherwise it’s got to be the Butcher. 🔪🥩🔥

Agree with Fisky, Paddy was absolute top for us at the back, but Gannon gave us something extra going forward and was always a stable presence on the ball, Watts was unbelievable for Shams this year but only really shone in the 2nd half of the year, defo top 3 though

Actually it was 19 years since we won the Cup all right, but it was not a 19 year wait for silverware! It is 17 years since we won the League and also the All Ireland Setanta Cup; 16 years since winning our second the Setanta Cup; 12 years since we won the League Cup - we last played in Europe after this in the 2013-2014 Europa League. Long overdue. Great blog lads, you captured the excitement and it was nice to see it again more peacefully onscreen. Good job.
