    Proudly volunteer interpreter of Tarjimly since 2017, thanks to Mr. Atif Javed as my first contact person in Tarjimly . I remember the days we had been in Contact via Facebook email and ‎WhatsApp 😊and nowadays I am probably using Tarjimly app translating 8 different languages also as well as Tandem App. i do speak, write and read Persian, Armenian, Georgian, Arabic, Turkish, Russian, English and German . if you speak more than two different languages for sure, you will be a big help to Tarjimly, don’t hesitate to join the App and be a real human. You should do a free trial in the UK and offer it to the huge number of refugees who have just arrived.

      Hi Tara, Tarjimly is free for any asylum seekers, refugees and organisations to set up an account and use. We would love to expand our access in the UK with organisations and refugees who need it there, so if you have any ideas or contacts please reach out to us at team@tarjim.ly

      @@tarjimly I remember looking into it for an organisation, and there was some kind of payment wall that put them off. I'm not suggesting it always be free but to break into the market and establish a reputation it might be worth it.

    • @tarjimly
      @tarjimly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tarana9329 No it's completely free to sign up and to use! There are some options for those who want to access more features and paid translators, which have a monthly subscription, but all the essential functions of the app are free.

    I signed up recently as a volunteer interpreter. I made sure to turn on the notifications both on the app and my phone but I am not getting any notifications from the app. In several occasions I opened the app by chance and found that there was a request, when I press "yes" I get the answer that another interpreter has already been matched. I don't understand if there is a problem with the app or my phone or if I simple have not been matched yet.

    • @tarjimly
      @tarjimly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can vary from phone to phone how it's laid out exactly. 1 ) First you will look for "settings" on your phone. 2) Then look for the "permissions" or "app authorisations" section. If you don't find that, you should find the "Apps" section. 3) Search for Tarjimly 4) Make sure all the permissions are allowed for Tarjimly

    Can I translate in text only and disable any calls?

    • @tarjimly
      @tarjimly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi May! Unfortunately you cannot disable calls. There will be rare occasions where in the request itself it will specify that someone needs help with text or document translations. In that case, you can accept knowing that is expected of you. Most of the time, however, you won't be able know what is needed, and the majority of time, a phone call will be what the beneficiary is looking for.
