My new toy awakens after two weeks in the garage....it actually sounds like an old tractor but I love it. After half a kilometer the smoke is completely gone and she runs great! Imagine: displacement 2.1L, power (well eh) 65hp, topspeed 120km/h. It's a 504 Berline GLD, 1974 (like myself)

How is this one glow'ed? With a key or is it with the old school pull lever and a "salt-shaker" cover you can see the glowing coil getting hotter? If latter, please make a video out of it!
My father bought a used one and we had it for a while. Noisy, stinky and expensive to repair in the USA. Our Mercedes Benz 220 D was a far better car but also was expensive to repair. I later transitioned into a 1986 Acura Integra and thought I was in a fighter jet!
You need to advance the injection pump a little I think to cure that, a GLD should start cleanly once the glow plug light has gone out.
