I've always thought DQM games were just way better than Pokemon consistently. I was obsessed with Terry's wonderland in the 90s. I was so sad that no one knew what it was and just considered it some kinda inferior pokemon rip-off.

Dqmj was my favorie childhoodgame and I always thought i was better pokemon. We had like a team of four who always tried to make the best monsters, we helped each other with sytheses , like when I discovord how to make Mambojumboh, and just send the others monsters when they were stuck since you can just turn monsters around like its nothing. Also gen4 remakes broke my heart:(

I still remember my parents buying DQM on GBC, likely not knowing the difference between it and Pokémon. However, I'm so glad they did because I played DQM endlessly and could still do the same today...Pokémon Red and Blue doesn't have the same effect.

God this video made me so nostalgic. I grew up playing DQMJ1 before I really got into any pokemon game hardcore because my older brother told me it was good and let me borrow it to play. Such good memories. 2 was even better. God I miss these games.

This was my childhood used to play this everyday when i got sword and shield i really didnt get the feel i got when i played dqm 2 man i miss that game

When I was a kid I only went back to Pokemon once I had finished Joker and Rocket Slime. Between Pokemon and DQ there's such a stark difference in creativity and effort, in every way it's obvious the superior game.

I used to play PoR religiously since I was so enriched by the lore and gameplay elements. However because of that, I noticed a LOT of problems with the game that a remaster/remake should fix. Let me list them and reasons why. 1. Magic Tomes levels C and B like Arc Fire etc. Leveling magic was a major problem in the GC version due to the severe lack of mid level magic tomes. Make them available in the shop to purchase, seriously. 2. Expand the forge to allow forging for D to A magic tomes. Never made sense that only E level tomes could be forged. Also, include forging for the braves, slayers, blades, short axes/spears, tomahawks, spears, and knives. 3. Expand the weapons shop to allow the purchase of more certain weapons. Short axes/spears are too rare in the game for a mid level weapon. A tomahawk and spear purchase in the last 3 or 4 chapters should not be too much to ask for either. 4. Include the missing S level weapons: Rexflame, Rexcalibur, and Urvan. Then make Rexaura and Wishblade droppable. 5. Give Sothe his promotion to Assassin class. He is literally the only character in the game who can't promote even with a master seal. 6. Allow for reusing of skills. For whatever reason, skills removed are deleted forever in the GC version. What you used a skill on one character and wanted to switch it to another? Too bad, gone forever. 7. Buff the damage for special damage weapons. A silver sword should not do more harm than an armor slayer. 8. Include a save point right before the battle with The Black Knight. No one wants to redo the whole stage just to fight the BK again and again. 9. Allow for more supports since the GC version maxed out at 5 per character. I'm guessing due to limited data constraints. 10. Make Greil, Bertram, and the Black Knight playable in the Trial Map mode. Include the medallion for Ashnard so he can go berserk too. 11. Improve the voice acting and include narration like the sequel did. 12. Full FMV for the main villain, King Ashnard. Possibly for Sanaki promoting Ike to lord too. 13. Change Ike's starting class to mercenary. A game staring a band called the Greil Mercenaries and no one is an actual mercenary class? 14. Lastly, have the sleep and silence staves actually affect bosses. If these staves can affect your main character, it's only fair for the bosses to be affected too. The staves are rare enough to justify the use on bosses anyway. Those are fixes PoR need to have in Not even the main character??? Those are fixes PoR need to have in a remaster/remake. As for Radiant Dawn, thankfully there's less fixes needed but still should be put out. 1. B Level magic tomes. Seriously, where are they? 2. Tone down the absurd difficulty. This game is too unnecessarily hard for the sake of being hard. 3. Decision making like sparing a certain character should be allowed in the first playthrough, not only follow up ones. 4. Get rid of dark magic or convert them into light magic. There is no need for TWO trinities of magic to exist simultaneously. 5. Include a post game content like the Trial Maps from the previous game. Give us a reason to play the game more than once other than, you can spare this character in the 2nd playthrough and onwards. That is it for RD. Both games could use the retreat option from 3 Houses though.

Back in the early 2000’s my dad got me DQM2 in the game boy color. I still have both and this game is my favorite RPG. I’m currently playing the 3DS remake and it really seems like this series is giving Pokémon a run for its money. If a new game releases on the switch and next gen consoles it would be a dream come true for me.

This really feels like a remaster of the song. It still has the DS vibes and all the atmosphere, but feels so much cleaner.

I would like those. Full talkies. And for Trial Maps on Path of radiance: Make Greil, Bertram, Black Knight and Renning playable. And Casual Mode to minimize the casualties.

Path of Radiance is the best Fire Emblem game ever made. Come fight me about it.
