For dropping off passengers, you can use the short-stay parking area. While it costs 50p more for 20 minutes compared to the drop-off charges, it offers greater convenience. You can accompany passengers all the way to the check-in desk, making the process smoother and more comfortable.

I was cautious of the approaching traffic, and the reason I was driving on the opposite side was due to the windy conditions. Sand had covered the exit road from the car park, which hadn't been cleared. I own a sports car, which is particularly prone to slipping on sand, especially when it's wet, so I had no choice but to drive on the other side to avoid my car skidding.

Yes you can! else you can try open car park for Terminal 2 and 3 (Long stay). From offical official Heathrow website: The maximum height at the barriers for our Short Stay car park's is 2.2m (7ft 2in).

I opt for the short-stay car park for drop-offs because the price remains the same for up to 29 minutes compared to the outside drop-off. However, if someone wishes to accompany their passengers until the security check-in, I would prefer to park in the long-term stay car park.

Collect ticket at entry and pay at payment kiosk near lift. I use a 20 min timer on mobile to keep track of time.
