I was a missionary in Samoa from 2013-2015. Since then, my wife and I have made it back every few years. This time we got to work as medical students at the main hospital on Upolu. Of course we made the most of it and had a bit of a vacation afterwards!

This is Spyder Pong. It's a mix between table tennis and spikeball. We serve with a "gentleman serve" by just tossing the ball across. The Ohana takes Oahu!! We got to spend Christmas this year all together with Sable's family back in our favorite place. We got womped in the waves, hiked a lot, spent a lot of time in the sun, went on an impromptu helicopter tour of the island, and ate tons of good food. Beautiful Samoa! Sable and I took the summer after graduating from BYU-Hawai'i to do some medical volunteering in American Samoa. It doubled as a summer vacation! We spent time in both American Samoa, and Samoa (Tutuila, Upolu and Savai'i)! This was before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sailing in Belize!

This was a much needed family vacation after taking USMLE Step 1! Sable and I are officially 3rd year medical students now! We planned a sailing vacation through The Moorings in Belize, and it was beautiful time! Our favorite spot was South Water Cay. Sable and I live for trips like this. We daydream all the time about having our own boat in a few years that we can vacation on like this!
