I’m looking at the same bucket right now. It does not say you have to add water. It says, “…Remix contents before use. When finishing joints, thinning with water may improve application.” It then states how to do that as well as store the container at a proper temperature for 24 hours before use. There is a very big difference between needing to do something and how to do something if needed (mix has dried some and become too difficult to apply.) Green top compound is heavy, red is medium density, blue is the lightest. If you automatically thin blue top compound every time, you could find yourself adding multiple layers to achieve sufficient coverage.

Oh my goodness!!! I was about to start this exact same project in my house tomorrow. Im freaking out. Those damn bath fitters suck, and I have water pooling in between the original tub and “shell” tub. The smell is horrendous. Wish me luck. And please post more videos of this project. Thank you!

Another great tip that I've learned is to press a plastic bag onto the top of your all purpose mud to keep the air out. It keeps the mud moist and the surface from drying out. I haven't tried it yet but another old school drywaller said to keep 2 inches of water above your all purpose mud to store it for very long periods of time. When you need to use it dump the water off the top of it and off you go!

Completely gutted our house inside as well as outside to the studs. Reconfigured the entire floor plan. We did everything from Electrical to drywall and everything in between EXCEP carpet. Paid a professional to do it, one thing I never wanted to tackle. Can’t believe it’s been a year already. Thanks for the video and the place is looking good.

Thank you for posting this video. I bought this exact same sprayer from Amazon May 30th, 23, and now, 15 months later, I am trying to use it for the first time. I am having the same problem as you had--it would not prime or even pull up any fluid into the pump. I will try to disassemble it and clean it like you did. I'll follow up with the results.

We just had BathFitter here Monday to tear out our ancient tub/walls and put in a walk-in shower because I’ve had multiple joint replacements, knee, shoulder and now hip. Cant do the tub thing anymore. We watched them do the whole job. They literally tore it out to the studs, built new walls, framed and installed a New floor at a specific height and did the rest as we’d contracted. It looks beautiful and feels extremely solid! I was terrified to get in before either my hip situation and I’m only 59. This has definitely put my mind at ease. Hope your mom likes hers!!!

Don’t get me wrong, you’ve done a phenomenal job on your project with the house, I’m really impressed. But to touch it off you should always leave the slot on the screws in a switch plate in a vertical position. The lipstick will look much nicer on the pig.

With those traps it took like 2 weeks for the colony to die I think it makes the queen infertile and the colony just dies of old age
