I know this is quite old but let me clarify something. Xanxus' plan is to pretty much kill every witness of this scene, mabye he plans on Reborn and the Cervello surviving and that's it. The issue is that the Volgola higher ups are well aware of the Cradle incident and mistrust Xanxus, so he essentially has no allies. But if he manages to throw the blame on Tsuna and then kill him, his Guardians and his allies, a chunk of the Volgola supporters will take his side. He will create a story for wich Tsuna killed Timoteo and Xanxus avenged it, and backed up by the Cervello and by the Flame scars on the 9th he will gain the trust of, say, half the family. At that point he's one of the top contenders, he has half the Family, Timoteo officially voted for him and Tsuna is dead, he is in position to kill or turn with violence the opposition and take the power. By failing 8 years before he made most of the family turn against him, and his power alone isn't enough to face the whole Vongola family and take control. There are probably some Vongola higher ups or groups that just need an excuse to side with him. Essentially he will play the good guy and, as far as he knows and he knows a lot, that will make a good chunk of the family side with him.

Unique list, but I have to disagree with your Fishman Island take. The highlight of that arc that brought it all together was when Hody said humans did nothing wrong to him. You're right, it paints him as radical, but that's what makes it so good. You also said that Oda is trying to paint fishman as good, but then also paint fishman as bad, I think that is the right way to handle it, because what race you are does not make up for your character, it is your action and what you do that define you as a person, not your race. You also brought up the difference between Arlong and Hody and that is intentional on the writing part by Oda. They're doing the same thing, but both of them came from different places and the way they go at achieving their goal is also different. The entire arc was basically about how dangerous blind hate is. You keep hearing about how bad the other races are, and within yourself you unknowingly developed a racist viewpoint on the other races, without experiencing said bad things. I also have to give a mention to Fisher Tiger, the fact that he's trying to not hate humans but died rejecting human's blood is poetic. Such a great character, both him and Otohime, and at extension, Jimbei and Arlong too. This is the most underrated/overhated arc in all of One Piece and I stand by that.

To put it shortly the manga is the only good way to experience Tokyo Ghoul. The anime is just a miserable adaptation of the manga, and the games follow the anime.

Davy back fight is a cannon arc in the manga (only some episodes in the anime were not), so yeah afro luffy is in the manga and is cannon

He was confused because he's so used to epic anime battles and fighting super powered enemies in a fantasy world. He expected her to pop up like "this isn't even my final form!" This anime didn't have much hype at launch, but it's probably going to blow up this season.
