I know this is a strange question but I've always wondered. Can you use this with the platters not moving so they behave like jog wheels? I think it would be cool to have the option for mixing house music.

The Rane Four is a lovely controller and gets so many good reviews, Your clutching at straws , my only fault is it’s very large

Your channel faders didn’t get blown out? My channel 1 & 2 are both out because I was red lining on the Rane 4. Anybody else had that problem?

yeah’ Truthfully alot of these companies are Shuck & Jiving, i just bought the Rane4 Controller, as of yesterday it came in From Amazon, installed Drivers and All, 4-26-2024, i cannot wait to get home and get it Going, mines costed $1599.00, the Sound sounds Great!!!😅, Stems seems to Take up Alotta power though, i owns PLX 1000 turntables by Pioneer, and MK2 1200 technics and uses Phase w/ them, i owned the Roland808 which was Trash, cheap plastic buttons,😢💀🥶, DDJ-1000 controller by pioneer was Cool, just not into RekordBox, So i feels alot of what u saying, …. This Rane 4’ will see Whats Happening when i gets home, Today😅,

I purchased this unit a few weeks ago…..I lasted about 2 weeks on it and noticed some flaws…… 1 . Volume when fader is in the middle goes down and when you move it to either side the volume is increased drastically… so deck 1 volume is at 8 slide to the middle volume for both deck goes down to let’s say 6 and now you move it to deck 2 volume jumps back to 8 … just not good. Yes the mp3 are equal with volume… problem 2. So your blending and it goes out of sync, so you nudge it a little to slow it down, it does so when you remove your finder (hand) it speeds up and you are out of sync … not good. 3rd issue, pitch control is not accurate you have to move it quite a bit for it to make a change and then it jumps off beat. The internal sound card is not good, sound it crackly and noticeably bad. I’m running a 2020 MacBook Pro, 64 go of ram … pretty much a high end model. Serato is adjusted for performance… so at the end I returned it and purchased the Rane One and immediately noticed a huge difference in sound and pretty much a plug and play for the controller except for a firm update and done, it’s been a couple of days, ran some stress tests and so far so good.

To enhance the art of music you need to appreciate the power of the old time music & use & apply the new technology to celebrate the past to new young audiences. These companies steal the moves the methods of the past , corporatise & commercialise the tradition . Now you get these middle class & rich kids who once envious of our culture now buying controllers thinking they Whiz Kid , Cash Money & Jazzy Jay . But old school heads will always find & invent new ways to perpetuate & maintain the soul the tradition & capture the magic & poetry in music our art .

I have to disagree,I have seen alot of good djs thats on TH-cam that have done videos,that has made some well good videos of showing there skills,with this controller,I bought one,to learn,to dj with moving platters.i love it.i purchase a use ns7ll before I bought the t7 and yes there is a difference as night and day,but I love my t7 for it is lighter,smaller.

I want the rane 4 a lot but have been hesitant. I agree that you can do almost everything on most others with midi mapping. I felt that way when I left the s9 cause it also has stems and silent cues now. I also keep hearing that the rane 4 has problems.

LOL... That's what pulled me away from Serato permanantly (Nickel & diming the customer base like they aren't making enough money off us already). Almost 2 decades of Serato AND VDJ. Serato has gotten me for a ton of money for expansion packs and in that same time frame VDJ gave it up for free. I still have Serato loaded (Old habit die hard) but almost never fire it up anymore. I do however disagree with Pioneer being innovative. They mimic, copy and then set an astronomical price. Ex: Denon's Prime 4 and Pioneer's response with the XDJ-XZ which offered a screen but no browser track info other than title, no BPM, Key, length etc. No touch, no zoom but slapped a $2-3K price tag on it. I've owned many different controllers and currently have a Numark, a Denon and a Pioneer and my Pioneer (Rev7) gets the least air time. Will be swapping it out for the Rane Four. (Found I no longer have a real need for moving platters)

I think what a lot of people forget, is that the definition of the word "professional" means of, or relating to a profession. With that being said, if it is your job to be a DJ, and you get paid to do it, part-time, full-time, etc. the features of any particular DJ controller have very little to do with that, or of your success. A profession is what you do, and a professional is who you are. A true professional could DJ on the crappiest equipment you give him/her, assuming it works. Features have little to do with it. Think of a Technics 1200. Some of the greatest DJ's in the world continue to spin on them, and they are about as basic as it gets. I think the real question here is, is the Inpulse T7 a worthy buy, or is it a piece of crap? :)

Yea but for the price, that's not a bad deal. Mine is on the way next week and i'm excited to use it however i'm a master on the one's and two's so you can give me a tonka toy dj board... it's in the hands not the product.

The Rane 4 is a solid controller. I wouldn’t get rid of it. The T7 definitely. Rev 7 definitely a beast when it comes to moving platters
