I upload videos of my walks from different towns, cities, and villages in the UK and beyond. I have always enjoyed walking so I thought why not record some of my adventures for memories, and also for others to enjoy too. I am originally from East London hence the cockney part of my channel name, but I now live in Norfolk.

Thetford Norfolk Walking Tour | Charles Burrell Museum

Thetford is a market town and civil parish in the Breckland district of Norfolk, England.
- Thetford has a rich history dating back to the Iron Age. It was a significant town in the Anglo-Saxon period and was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
- It was once the capital of the Iceni tribe led by Queen Boudica, who famously led an uprising against the Romans.
- The town lies on the Little Ouse River, near the border with Suffolk, and is surrounded by the Thetford Forest, which is one of the largest man-made lowland forests in the UK.

The lovely town of Holt, the icing on the cake is that it has a great department store and is close to the sea, a really nice part of the country.
It is a nice place, lots of history. You can also get an old steam locomotive train from Holt to Sheringham, It's called the Poppy Line 🙂
Just buying a house there at the moment, will be moving there from Essex in January… brave new world !

My father was stationed at RAF Lakenheath when I was a teenager. I'm 71 years old now, and have been all over the world during my lifetime, but my years at Lakenheath were the happiest years of my life! I've always felt a kinship with England, and her people!

There definitely is a special kinship between the British and American people Gary, there is much that connects us 🙂 I have a video going live on the 28th of this month on the village of Hingham in Norfolk, England. That parish village is where the ancestors of Abraham Lincoln came from before they emigrated to America in the 17th century. Hopefully you will enjoy that video too.
Beautiful sunny day and almost no one walking around - not anywhere! Looks absolutely dead - like a lot of similar towns in the UK these days unfortunately. For reference, I have family in Felixstowe and visited last summer (currently live overseas). Thank you for posting. I hope that the beach was a bit more lively! ❤

Used to take my kids to the haven holiday camp there during the ninetys we all loved it good memories

Lived at 18 Rowan Walk Mildenhall from 1992 to 1995. Remodeled the place using supplies from GREAT MILLS... Just found out they sold out and no longer exist since 2000. sheesh!
Usual dodgy Turkish barbers a front for Drug dealing those are lol , Cant believe they even in Mildenhall as that used to be only for US Service personnel , I used to live in Kings Lynn 20 years ago and it was always a Pleasure to go to Mildenhall and talk to the US servicemen and women , nowadays seems its gone sownhill , rising rents and taxes closed down the good family run businesses and whats with all these Vape Shops? Do people not realise vaping still causes lung cancer/disease ? I think they dont realise because of the nice smells the vapour gives off. Anyway sorry for a bit of a rant but im really fed up the UK is turning into Detroit , In a few years the high street wont exist and people will just come to Towns and Cities from abroad to work and then go home like most EU people did years ago , its like the UK is a big industrial estate in 2024.
I travel around the east and southeast of the UK quite a bit, and it certainly seems like the high streets are losing their uniqueness, they all seem very similar these days. Thanks for your comment 🙂

❤But it IS though, isn't it . A beautiful part of the country with wonderful kind people (mostly). Sunset swims at Holkham in Summertime are heaven, and walking woofer along the beaches ALL seasons, then back to Quayside "Ice Cream Cafe" in Wells for cup of tea to warm up, then home, just makes everything seem "right way up" ? My Mum's side of the family go back hundreds of years from here😊😊😊

Can hardly bear to watch videos like this, because it is so far removed from the England most of us know. You need a lottery win to live there. Most of us can't even afford a modest home somewhere appalling now.
When I was a child, on Ascension Day (I think) we used to walk the Walsingham Way, which was lined with cow parsley, with loads of pilgrims singing "Ave Maria" - I miss those days badly. They probably have Walsingham Pride and Drag Queen story hour now.
I went into Walsingham Abbey on the day I recorded this video, and within the grounds of the Abbey there is a museum that has many photos of the village from years ago 🙂 it’s also got a courtroom kept just as it used to be. Lovely village, thanks for your comment Karen.

Thanks for your comment John. The reason I don't talk on my videos anymore is because lots of viewers from different parts of the world wouldn't understand what I was saying without subtitles. So I prefer to stay silent now and let the viewer feel like they are doing the walk.
I love the flower planters on the buildings. It's not something you see in my part of America.

Love the red double decker busses. I find the outdoor food vendors interesting. In America we have food trucks, but not street vendors. At least where I live.
Yes the red double decker bus is very iconic of London. There has been a market on this road for many many years, lots of history associated with this part of London.
