nice to see Russian love to staying with us in Thailand. As you said from no smile to land of smile many Russian just get out the flight into Thailand with grumpy face but if you feel how we Thais are we have open always arms for everybody and positive mind most of us, and you should try rural Thailand. Also work life is easy going here chill chill (Jai jen jen)

While very beautiful along the beach, Nha Trang was our least favourite city during a recent 2 month trip from south to north. The vibe was just off and it didn't have the charm the rest of Vietnam does. We absolutely loved Da Nang though. Could live there any day. (Though first we are moving to Hua Hin, Thailand in March as the visa's are a lot easier)

Da Nang is much nicer than Nha Trang.

I've visited both. Love them both, but I think Nha Trang is a little cheaper. A lot more Russians in Nha Trang.

Not just Thailand but 99% of Southeast / East Asia are very safe. Very little crime. Christmas doesn't have any religious connotation in Asia. It's more for the shops to make money and for the kids and families to enjoy.
