hi there, just payed between insurance and TIP 850 Bath, nothing else for the bike then you have to pay for your visa but that has nothing to do with the bike, the insurance and the TIP was made all there at the Border, if your bike has a Thai license plate you have to pay. a TAX at the Thai border of 150 bath. Hope this helps you .

I think the road now is a little better then before, but yes still have some crazy driver out there and have to watch for them, if you are alone I think PCX is good but if you are in 2 then is going to be a bit slow on some hills going up, but I saw plenty of people doing it with the PCX , good luck and enjoy your ride .

Yes Phayao is really a beautiful city, I loved my time there it was so charming and people are very nice, love the coffee and restaurant there. 😊

Yes it's beautiful but for some reason I really liked the most the part between Mae Sariang and Mae Hong Son, maybe because it was afternoon and how the sun was from my back, but the color and the contrast between the higer part of the mountains and the darker side were I was driving, the contrast between late afternoon light and shadow or the part were the sun was getting true the tree , but the color was just amazing.
