He's definitely good. I'm just not fond of his looks. Not a fan of the shorts or the frills. A few tweaks to the outfit like giving him a magician style coat or jacket would have gone a long way, but that's just me. I'm also saving to get Neuvillette on this account , so there's that too.

I'm debating going for C2 Neuvillette. I would be interested in his weapon, but I am not fond of the idea of getting Vortex Vanquisher instead. That and I am hoping to get Mavuika. Best case scenario I get both, but if I lose 50/50 on Neuvillette I would have a guarantee for Mavuika. Probably won't have that many wishes for a video on Neuv's rerun because I'm trying to get Ororon cons at the moment. Though that's not going too well so I might give up on that idea. We shall see.

I'd say you can't go wrong with Neuvillette, but I might suggest waiting a bit to see how Mavuika pans out. Archons tend to be very good, which is why I'm hoping to get both, but we'll see how my luck holds. His C2 provides 42% bonus crit damage for his charge attack, so a considerable damage increase. That said if you're free to play I might suggest stopping at C0, or C1 if you really like Neuvillette. C1 allows him to run with more diverse teams and gives a much larger boost to his damage than his C2. I made a video a while back giving a more in-depth explanation of his C1 it's called "Neuvillette C1 Why I'm Pulling for Him and Why You Should Too" So check that out if you want my full thoughts on Neuvillette's cons.

@ I seen that vid a little bit ago! I like Mavuika, but not the biggest fan of the bike gameplay, plus, I already have two built pyro dps, Yoi, and Hu Tao, and I guess I just think that maybe it would be better for someone else? Honestly, dunno, might even go for Citlali like my friend is, I have a 5050 to win tho..

Oh yeah I get it. I can certainly see where you're coming from. Rule of thumb if you don't enjoy playing the character in their trial run, or you just don't like how they look, don't wish for them. Not a big fan of the bike either, but I like Mavuika's design otherwise, and the only good pyro I've got right now is Hu Tao. The big thing I'm still unclear on is whether Mavuika can act as off-field pyro, because right now that's pretty much only Xianling, Thoma and Dehya. I've heard Mavuika might work a bit like a pyro version of Raiden, so she might be worth it for the utility. That's the main reason I suggest keeping an eye on her. Personally, I kinda want Citlali too, loved her character in the Archon Quest so I might end up going for her instead. Who knows I might get lucky and get both, only time will tell. On the one hand, two 5 stars in 20 wishes is fantastically good luck. On the other, burning both guarantees right before Neuvillette and Mavuika and not even getting Ororon = PAIN All I can say is that I hope you get Ororon before his banner ends and that Neuvillette decides to jump scare you the way Chasca did and come home early.

Congrats on getting Ororon. As for not spending, assuming you would like to hear my take on it, it is a matter of prioritization. TLDR Set Goals. For example I want C2 Ororon, but don't want C1 Chasca, so as soon as I get him to C2, or get close to soft pity, I stop wishing. The Long Version: (For any interested parties) That is to say that I have to decide whether I want something from the current banners more than something on a future banner. As an example, I want Mavuika when she releases, and I already have Chasca so I am inclined not to spend too many more primos. Moderation is key. I want a few cons for Ororon so I'll be wishing on Chasca's banner a bit more, which is exactly the line of thinking that got me this video, but I won't be going anywhere close to soft pity (75). If I get C2 Ororon then that's it I won't wish anymore. I'm not interested in C1 Chasca so from C2 Ororon on there wouldn't be a point in my wishing. Stopping like this also allows me to keep Pity for the next 5 star. So when Mavuika arrives I'll just need say fifty wishes, assuming it took me 25 to get C2 Ororon. One further consideration is whether you lose a 50/50 or not. If you win then the score/pity goes back to zero. If you lose you get a guarantee for the next 5 star. This is extremely valuable, and what I was hoping would happen on Chasca's banner. I didn't really want Chasca so I wanted a guarantee for Mavuika. Instead I won 50/50 and got Chasca, meaning that my pity was set back to zero. Remember that it can take up to 180 wishes to get a specific limited 5 star, but a guarantee cuts that down to 90 at most. Hence you keep "pity" at 90 rather than a flat zero. If you have a guarantee then my advice is to stop wishing immediately unless you really want the 5 star on the current banner. Usually I hold on to my guarantees, and refuse to spend them until I find a 5 star worth using that guarantee on. This line of reasoning is exactly how I got Xilonen on the day she came out. This is how I've gotten most of the characters I've wanted. Long winded I know but I hope me explaining my thought process can help you start saving

To be honest I had a very long day before making these wishes, so this turning out so well was a welcome surprise. That said, looking back at it I do come across as a bit---'slap happy' or even 'manic' don't I... Hmm, well it just goes to show how tired I was. Oh well.

Yeah Neuvillette is a personal favorite and he's the only limited 5 star I have at C1. I did try to get Kazuha on his last rerun but luck just wasn't with me. Though losing 50/50 for him did guarantee me Xilonen, so I can't say it was a total loss.

@@piccotaro haha actually i started off with 0 pity since i got xilonen ( i didnt really want her but my gacha addiction got the better of me) but I really wanted nahida since she was the first ever banner i saw in 3.3 so i grinded events , story quests, archon quests and i did some exploration as well. I was able to do some 10 pulls here and there but when I reached 80 pity I was about to give up until yesterday I just grinded 3 wishes and got her!! (So just keep grinding, stay positive and keep telling urself you can get her :3) Btw keep me updated :)

Funny how that goes sometimes. The closest story I have for an event like this would be when I wished for Nilou on her last rerun. Things didn't play out nearly as well for me though. See, I saved up for Nilou specifically, wanted her since I got back into the game back in 2023. Problem was I only had about 70 pulls, pity was at 0 and I didn't have a guarantee. I figured I'd have a go at getting her anyway, "who knows she might come a little early" I thought. So I did my first ten pull and immediately see that flash of gold. I get excited and start thumbing through the rewards and I finally get to the 5 star and--it's Qiqi. Yep, I wanted the girl with red hair and I got one with blueish-purple instead. That said I couldn't even be mad about it. After all I only spent ten wishes to get her, it was only the first day of Nilou's banner, I still had 60 wishes and now thanks to Qiqi I had my guarantee. The wishes ended up dragging on all the way into the low 80s but I did manage to get Nilou. Probably the only time I've been happy to see a Qiqi jump scare honestly. This game can be humorous like that sometimes.

I've noticed that a lot of regular enemies work like that too. Forward momentum is the phrase that came to mind when I dealt with the horned warriors in Belurat and many other elite enemies too. They tend to carry forward with most of their moves making retreat a bad idea. As for Messmer, I was getting caught out by the fact that he can switch targets whenever he pleases. I've seen him get hit by my summon only to ignore her and chase me instead. Most bosses in base game can get tunnel-visioned being distracted for a good while by summons (usually targeting whoever hit them last). DLC bosses don't seem to stay focused on one target nearly as much. It makes summoning a less effective option, leaving aside the fact that Messmer was deleting Tiche and Taylew in a matter of seconds. Only the Mimic managed to survive, though even it took a beating. Quite a change from base game, and I actually like the extra challenge.

Yeah, I managed to mess up with the Iris of Ocultation. I ended up "experimenting" [i.e. wasting] it, when I got frustrated with Messmer. Dumbest move of my playthrough, apart from approaching the Shadow Keep too early, and not figuring out the trick with St. Trina. That said I did find a second Iris in the church district. Something died right when I entered the area and the Iris just appeared. So I did get a sword eventually, just not both of them.

Thanks for the info. Wasn't sure how high that would go. Like I might have said elsewhere, I've been playing blind (with a few exceptions). I do appreciate having some idea how far I still have to go.

@@3rdshiftsurvivalgaming938 Don't worry too much about spoilers. I've finished most of the dlc by now and know who the final boss is. (though I haven't fought him just yet) Also I don't consider the number of Scadutree fragments or the maximum blessing level to be much a spoiler anyway. So no harm no foul. All is well.

There is a dragon slayers katana, once leveled it does a number on those dragons 😊

Hmm, interesting. I can't seem to recall ever hearing the name of the tree spoken in game. So I must have missed it somewhere down the line, be it in game or in a press release (I was avoiding coverage of the dlc so as not to be spoiled on anything) Well, I wish I'd come across your insight sooner, because I've recorded a solid twenty further episodes of the series with the incorrect pronunciation (sigh)

Yeah. I particularly "enjoyed" the part where I died to the twin moon ultimate attack, after I survived it the first time around. That was a proper facepalm moment for me considering all I had to do was block it. Did exactly that the first time but somehow it just slipped my mind on the second (sigh)

Ya took me a minute to realize as soon as firts ball starts to drop, you just jump 3 times and no biggie.

As far as the Godskin fights go, I'm tempted to say that the noble you fight in Volcano Manor is worse than the Duo, if only for the roly-poly nonsense he gets up to. The room you fight him in makes that move damn near impossible to avoid. At least there are obstacles in the Duo fight to make the rolling slightly less infuriating. Slightly... Bernahl is also a godsend so there's that...

Yeah, this game always being online can mess with its enjoyability at times. I sincerely hope you have better luck with your internet connection going forward. As an interesting sidenote, I actually wasn't able to take advantage of the increased XP the event offered for the exclusive bow it gives you because I hadn't done the world quest to unlock the golems who dropped its upgrade materials. (sigh)

I admit it was a difficult choice. Like I said in the video Furina is an excellent support and not just for Neuvillette. It's just that his C1 dramatically improves the effect Furina has in his team. That and Kokomi is an excellent companion for him, but only with C1. Hopefully I win 50/50 for Furina, but if I don't I still want Nilou. So if worst comes to worst I'll have a guarantee for her. We'll see how it goes.

Actually I play Neuvilette too... And I have him C0, I was considering for C1 because of the same thing. But i was able to comfortably clear all content with C0 Neuvilette. My usual team for him is Archaic Petra Zhongli, Him on 4pc Hunter, Furina and Jean. Trust me this is like such an awesome team for him... I was really really close to getting C1 but then on second thought stopped. Saved my primos for father and scaradook and possibly Wrio. Honestly Wrio needs his C1 more than Neuvilette. It completes him.

Yeah I definitely see your point. Neuvillette is just a favorite of mine so I wanted the C1. I also agree on wrio. I would have gone for him too, but it just didn't work out. I wanted other characters more than him, and each time he rolled around I just didn't have enough primos for him. His C1 is amazing, but that kind of worked against him, for me at least. I don't have a team built for him yet, so going for him and his C1 was just a bit too expensive at the time. Mind you I do hope to get him eventually. Unfortunately that goes for a number of characters at this point, Furina included.

To each their own. I personally enjoy him, but I understand why not everyone will. For what it's worth I do have several other characters built, and tend to swap between them fairly often. One playstyle can get stale after a while. I'm quite fond of Navia for example.

Hard to say. Story and design wise it would probably be Neuvillette, hence going for his C1. That said I love Alhaitham's gameplay. Diluc was my first 5 star so he's got a special place in my roster, and funnily enough I got him while I was exploring Dragonspine. Diluc carried me through that frigid mountain and I'm fond of his backstory, essentially being fantasy Batman. I just wish it came up in the game more and wasn't relegated to the comics for the most part. All this rambling amounts to: I like a bunch of characters but I don't main any of them exclusively. The closest I get to a Main would probably be Neuvillette, but even he gets swapped out relatively frequently.
