    This is so smart. So common sense. It is complicated to deny and ignore symptoms of depression,stress and anxiety. When I admit to myself and others I am experiencing these things immediately things are less stressful and complicated. Not gone but improved

    Ok. I know this was posted a year ago… I just looked up this channel I’ve been awake for hours with anxiety stress depression….I usually knit and walk everyday but just giving up on finding that joy. Even though life is moving on with Covid we have political factions wanting to install a dictatorial government, gun violence seems beyond control climate change is more and more a daily issue , inflation …I think I am in denial about depression

      Hi Sally, I am really sorry to hear that. I am hoping to help inspire people to get into crafting to help with there mental health and also to help us talk more openly about how we are all feeling. The fact that you have said that you might be in denial means you are aware and hopefully you can find help or someone to talk to.

    Really enjoyed your look back. I have been binge watching your channel as I work diligently on a test knit for Tif Neilan, so I haven't been commenting along the way. I love your home, especially your kitchen - amazing layout, I love the stairs and how you've fit so much function under them. I love your cooking videos and how much you do from scratch in your small kitchen. Great to see someone on TH-cam showing cooking in a small kitchen, ours is small too. And, I am so impressed with your outdoor space. Do you get mosquitoes in your area? I love our outdoor space, but not for most of the summer due to mosquitoes (and humidity). Came here via hive knits.

    Hi, I'm a beginner knitter - Great review, I just discovered this wool, as an alternative to Wool and the Gang. How many skeins of Drops Snow would I need to knit a standard twin blanket (66x90 inches)? My estimate comes to 25, let me know if this amount is in the right ball park. Thank you! P.S. gorgeous mustard sweater in the background with cool sleeve pattern 😊Cheers from Canada!

    • @knitslips

    I had a break-down not so long ago, because I’m not as fit as I was a couple of years ago, and I’m getting maried this fall and I was just freaking out… And what triggered my break-down was the smell of the food at the restaurant near my place of work… When I realised that, I was ready to get help. But I didn’t yet. And today I watch this video and I think it’s exactly what I needed. I am ready to get help, and I will talk to my doctor. Hi there, I've literally just cast on this pattern and it's ridiculously big. As a beginner knitter this is super disconcerting as I don't know how to scale down. I'm about to knit a medium but it's huge. It's no way a medium, and if the pattern is this loose isn't it a bad idea to use a stretchy cast on? I've tried a number of Wool and the gang patterns and they all knit enormous. I thought it was my knitting but now I'm wondering if it's just a ploy to sell more wool. Feeling a bit had, and I haven't even started. 😕😞

    • @knitslips
      @knitslips 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know what you mean. The pattern dose seam quite long but from what I can remember it’s because it has lots so sizes and has quite a nice shape around the shoulders. But it is a big pattern for a beginning. Habe you done a test 4” patch to check if your stitches would match? If your stitches are a hit looser and don’t want to mess with the stitch count, try going down a size on your needles that will help make the stitches a little tighter. Let me know how you get on, and tag or message me on Instagram @knitslips
