What does your comment mean? Are you saying that the auctioneer has committed theft? Or are you saying that the attorneys who were in control of the estate that this unit belonged to committed theft? @garybrown4671 Thank you so much for watching 😎🙌 yes, sometimes it's hard to get rid of the cool stuff we find, but I know I can't keep it all 😆 As far as trying to reach the family, that's something we do with each unit. We'd much rather give back all personal family items!!

@MrHoustonmichael, thanks for watching man! Not sure what you mean by "thieves"? As i stated in the beginning of the video, we paid about $700 for this unit & had to spend almost $150 in fuel to clean this out. That's far from stealing as far as I'm concerned. As far as the previous owner "loosing" their belongings, I remember this unit specifically and we called almost 10 different phone numbers that we found on various paperwork in the unit and they were all disconnected. We sent emails to 5 different email addresses we found on paperwork and no response. The storage facility called them and the phone number was disconnected. So the previous owner obviously did not make any effort to get their belongings back, is that our fault? Does their lack of care for their own personal belongings make us thieves? Is the storage facility supposed to just give them free rent until they decide to call back or come get their stuff?

@joshrawlings2621 Hey, thanks for watching & sharing! So i agree with you in regards to the "Veteran's Life...substantial level..." So my wife & I spent hours going through each individual piece of paperwork we found to look for phone numbers, email addresses, etc. We found quite a few and we reached out to all of them. Most phone numbers were disconnected & the few that weren't knew nothing of this person. We did not get any response via email either. As a final attempt, we contacted management at the storage facility and they tried reaching out to the previous tenant which did not pan out either. So I'm not sure what else we could have done here... This is not the first time that a person (veteran or not) simply abandones their belongings and it won't be the last either. My wife & I do this full time as our profession, and one thing we firmly believe in is karma. So we treat belongings with care & respect and we make every attempt possible to return personal items to the owner, but sometimes that just is not possible because the owner give us no way to do so. Yes, it's very unfortunate when the tenant doesn't have family around or the person just doesn't want anything to do with it. The way we look at it is, atleast it won't be going to a landfill ♻️ we always try to get ahold of the person or family to give back personal items, but alot of times we have no luck. We do however leave personals with management when they have contact of the old tenant. Thanks for watching!!
