What is round 3 ?!?

The very beginning made no sense. I did it 3 times and it was a twisted mess. It would have been nice if you would have explained what on earth a decrease was. I watched it in slow motion over and over and I don’t know what you were doing. Needless to say, what I have looks nothing like a heart. Thanks for waisting and entire evening for me.

i love this <3 i used this super fluffy yarn to make a plush and instead of pipe cleaners i made little legs/arms from a chain and single crochets and then sewed them on. more floppy but super cuddly :3! your explanations were super easy to follow too, thank you!

I just started Hans after purchasing this book! I have been crocheting for 6 months. I also had not heard of single rib crochet and when I googled it I found differing methods. One tutorial said it is simply crochet in back loop only for each round. I knew that would not come out to look like the ribbing on Han's hat. I then looked in the book and Yan had the stitch explained on page 33 so I was so happy to find that!! I don't know if I will make all 20 animals but I am excited to make several more! Thanks for posting this! I want to check out your etsy shop next!

Hello! Thank you very much for the tutorial and the pattern! I really enjoyed making this (well up to the pipecleaners and my extremely rubbish fabric glue, and I also utterly sucked at making the antenna leaf (it's apparently a problem that I have). My question is: you say "aran weight yarn" - I'm trying to find out with these amigurumi-style patterns, what the yarn is made of? Is acrylic ok? Does using cotton yarn affect the difficulty? Apologies if these are really stupid questions, I figured it was better to ask you about what the yarn is actually made of than angry Redditors? (I might incur their wrath anyway for the sake of finding out if this is a really stupid question. Thank you again

This is a fantastic pattern! Thank you so much for the tutorial. 💜 I’ll go to earth’s end to avoid hand stitching if I can, so I did a workaround for the holes between the points. Even though stitching as you did is easier and effective. 😂 If you’re interested: in round 1 of the second side I inserted the hook and pulled loops up from each of the 3 exposed stitches in the crooks of the points, leaving 4 loops on my hook (the stitches between each increment of 6 sc’s in your original pattern). With the 4 loops on my hook, I yarn over and pull through all 4 loops. This leaves a single slip stitch dec in each empty spot, which brought my stitch count to 35 for that round. On round 2 that slip stitch fits right between the two stitches you use to dec, and I just skipped over it entirely. No gaps with it sandwiched in that decrease, and my stitch count was the same as yours for that round! I don’t know if it’s helpful or not, but I’m so terrible with a darning needle and I so badly wanted this to turn out as cute as yours. Hopefully you don’t mind me sharing. Thank you again for the tutorial!!! ❤

Thank you for this! This was my first amigurumi ever, and i stuggled a bit making the points, but after I mastered that, everything else went smoothly. Its notnas perfect as yours, but it's still cute! Edit: I came back to say that I think you missed typing the 3dc in the leaf on the second round. I was noticing when I was just reading it it did linen up with what you were saying.
