The phrase that the Germans died in 1945 makes sense, because there were no longer any German soldiers and there are only Italian, Soviet and American veterans, a pity for those soldiers who gave everything for their country

This is single-handedly the MOST intimidating marching song I've ever heard, in fiction or real life. "We care about nothing around us" and "The Devil laughs as we march" and "For us there is never retreat". Their voices are completely hollow of any form of discernible human emotion other than the desire to watch others die. Other German marching songs are about beauty back home, drinks and camaraderie, happy and light tunes with whistles and life in the voice. These guys just let out a ghostly chant to the beat of an eerie accordion about all the places they've razed and people they'll exterminate. These guys were built for Total War.
This was mostly made to intimidate the soviets.

Well, the flamethrower has the unit insignia of the 5th SS panzer division on it. Maybe the SS runes on the collars are just covered?
@maltewernerwoiske Good catch. I'm mostly going off of the man in the side cap standing next to them. Which he is clearly wearing a Heer field Cap. I also want to go off of their shoulderboards, which are grey, the SS wore black, but that could be an error in the colorization of this photo. Also these men are wearing great coats, collar tabs were rarely put on greatcoats, so collar tab recognition can't be relied upon on this case
