The female Common Whitetail Dragonfly was laying eggs when a male Whitetail ran her off. This video is slowed down to one forth normal speed.

This video was taken on Friday September 1, 2023 at the Antique Airplane Association's 70th annual fly-in. The fly-in was held at Antique Airfield near Blakesburg, Iowa. There were about 180 attendees flying mostly antique and classic airplanes.

My great-great grandfather, Salathiel Needham, was killed in the Civil War on June 18, 1864 and buried in an unmarked grave in Lost Mountain, Georgia. This Civil War reenactment brings his memory back to his hometown of Lafayette, Indiana. Reenactment was on June 18, 1994.

Amazing video!
Attended this in 2014 and it had just rained heavily for days before the start of the fly-in. After a number of aircraft landed it was decided the grass strip was just too wet. Many planes were diverted. They did do some nice fly-by’s though. Think I’ll put it on my calendar for 2024!
Complexly missed this. Would have been fun to see in person. Thank you for sharing.

I wish that someone would put out a kit for a 70" wingspan version, at about 13 lbs full up weight. 2 x RCGF twin 21cc gas engines would run it nicely.

Would be nice to see how you get a waterproof seal on the nose gear doors.
ReddwarfIV The doors don't seal but the gear is in a water tight box. The steering linkage is in tubes that extend up and back almost to the servo. The door actuator linkage can and probably will leak but the inside of the fuselage is waterproofed and there is a drain hole at the fuse step with an 1/8 inch aluminum pipe plug.
