kovoid hareb, The rabbi said a few classes ago that you can't say your father's name in front of him. But, in that case, why when Yaakoiv arrived in Egypt, did Yoisef (according to the midrash) say "Shema Yisroeil"?
The midrash said that Yaakov avinu was saying kriat shema not Yosef look rash"I bereshit 46/29
@RabbiBabayov i'm sorry, i got confused. the situation is different. i'm referring to ein yaakoiv pesachim 4:15, about bereishis 49, saying that yaakoiv called his sons to check their emunoh (so to speak), and they said "shema yisroeil etc.," and yaakoiv responded "boruch sheim etc." in that case, why did they speak to their father using his first name? thank you, reb.
I subscribed to your channel and wish you only simchas for your TH-cam channel.
Not to offend in anyway, I'm generally curious. What is the cube like hat on your head, and what does it represent, and/or modeled after. Wish you, and your channel luck.
The black cube is called tefillin. Jewish men are commanded to wear them every day during prayers (with the exception of the Sabbath and some holidays). They are mentioned in the Bible in Exodus chapter thirteen verse 16, and also in Deuteronomy in chapters 6 and 11. They contain parchments which have written on them many passages from the Bible and among them is the shema prayer which proclaims the oneness of the creator, and the story of the Jews Exodus from slavery in Egypt.
@RabbiBabayov appreciate your reply. Would you happen to know where the concept of the tefillin came from, as in the physical appearance. I think its fascinating.
It's physical appearance (black, and square) is from the oral Torah and is a tradition passed down from Moses at Mt Sinai. This is discussed in the Talmud.
@@RabbiBabayov I appreciate your replys, most of the time people don't answer. Does each side represent a different aspect? I'm sure I'm wearing you out with a ton of questions. I wish you, and your channel the best of luck. Excellent videos.

@@RabbiBabayov "Samech, Aleph, Lamed. In meditation for prosperity according to the Kabala" is this true?
Rabbi, but how we could know what we have to fixt?
First of all, we have to live according to Shulchan Aruch without any discounts. The second thing is to work hard on our own weak points. Our mission in life is to fix our weaknesses
Some questions The existing Shul is Orthodox but the folks desiring a new minyan are doing so because they want a more intense level of observance (The existing Shul is a Yong Israel or OU-affiliated shul and the folks looking to start another minyan are Yeshivish or Chassic/Litvish or Even Ashkenaz /Sefardi ? Aren"t Torah Schools allowed to compete as not everyone can learn from the same teacher. One kolel may offer opportunities the first one does not.l
Yes but they have to make sure that the original establishment doesn't close down
Thanks for answering the Shayla. Baruch HaShem

Do we use a mezuzah on a home that is on wheels, like a RV or a bus, which some live inside full time, with doors on hinges, and for the long term is used as a permanent house, but regularly moves?

2:00 I also thought this, without a test we cannot accumulate reward any longer. We will be crying because we can't go higher and higher, neshama becomes static like Malachim, unless HaShem decides to increase the reward/revelation of HaShem gradually in stages(but maximum will still have already been decided for all times).

Is the correct Kavana necessary for the proper fulfillment of the mitzvah of Sukah? | Daily Halacha th-cam.com/video/qPTUZ1nlSLM/w-d-xo.html
Moradike d’var torah. Kol haKavod Rav Babayov! gmar tov. Love your channel!
Gemar Tov to you and your family as well was great to hear from you
It is entirely unnecessary to use a chicken for Kaporos. How can you hope to rid yourself of sin by violating tsa'ar ba'alei chayim?
The same way as H-shem gave us a permission to eat them, and the same way as we brought animals as sacrifices in Beis Hamikdosh. We can use them as a kaporo. H-shem created them for us. The life of people is more important than the life of animals. However, we have to do it at the most careful way to minimize their pain because of tsaar baalei chaim
What is this?
Amazing
Thanks

Most pizza shops in heimishe communities (as well as frozen pizzas) make their pizza dough with רוב מי פירות. Whereas I've noticed that not to be the case in most "out of town" communities throughout the USA. That's just my personal experience.
That's not a solution for two reasons #1 the taam of mei peiros have to be nikar which in most cases it's not #2 most people kovea seuda on the pizza so according to everyone is hamotsi
@@RabbiBabayov #1 is not a condition brought by the בעל התניא in his final rulings in the Siddur. #2 it seems not everyone agrees with that assessment.
I don't know why you don't mention the opinion of the Alter Rebbe זי"ע in סדבה"נ. His sole requirement (if I recall correctly in my reading of the text) is that the dough should be made of רוב מי פרות. I'd appreciate if you correct me if I'm wrong but if I recall correctly אדה"ז doesn't mention any requirement of טעמו ניכר/נרגש in סדבה"נ. As for concentrate, some bakeries explicitly write on their packages that the juice they use is not from concentrate. All agree that ברכתו במ"מ is only כשלא קבע סעודה, and many companies write that on their packages as well. Whether these "breads" are by definition קביעת סעודה or sometimes used as a snack is seemingly a sociological factor and is perhaps debatable.
@@RabbiBabayov The דרך רוב בנ"א is a sociological factor that one can argue is perhaps up for debate, how people treat mezonos bread.
Holds that pizza can be mezonos בלא קביעות סעודה. th-cam.com/video/icwAtAaUIK8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=R9PfkSBlP0HOa2Su
Yes this the opinion of the taz most poskim hold it's hamotsi and according to everyone if you make a kevius seuda the brocho is hamotsi
Also held that a small quantity of pizza eaten as a snack is במ"מ even when the dough is with water.
Irrelevant, since today's commercially produced wraps are supposedly all בלילה עבה.
Mezonos bread is fake news 😂
This could also apply to Doordash.
I really enjoy your shiurim. Thank you for sharing them with the world. With all due respect, in regards to this topic, many great poskim vehemently disagree with your conclusion. Take as an example Here is his recent shiur where he mocks the common איסטניס excuse. th-cam.com/video/u7mcU3fsT2Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FPH4KeGjBUBQIFQr See minute 23 and minute 56.
Thank you for your comment. I did listen to the to the drosha of rabbi Gavriel Tsiner שליטא Rabbi tsiner is definitely a great posek, but don't forget I brought many quotes from big poskim as well, like the pischei tshuva, oruch hashulchan, Rabeinu Avraham Azulai, and more. Halacha respects different opinions and conclusions as long we have a basis for them.
I got a notification that you left a comment asking about what happened to a previous comment. I can't see either so feel free to repost
Can't believe this popped up 😂
Let the good rabbi remove his talis and tefillin before giving these talks
The shiur takes place immediately following shacharis, when many people still wear their tallis and tefillin. And why would it bother you, anyway?
Excellent Habara
A couple of follow-up questions: Could women serve in the military in non-combat roles? (nurse, clerk, intelligence, training etc.? Aren't defensive wars like the present conflict with Hamas a Milchemet Mitzvah? Again not making a political or ideological question but Halacha L'MA'ASEH
Regarding non combat roles. Yes women could serve in those roles as long as the moral environment in the army is not compromised. And regarding if this defensive is a milchemes mitzvah . A)while it's definitely up for debate if this is a milchemes mitzvah. I believe we have enough manpower to handle this war without recruiting female combat soldiers. And especially if the environment of the army would be kept to a holier standard, there would probably be more of a chareidi presence in the army.
I love Rabbi Babayov!
You can clearly see that your beard goes up to the top of your ear though? How can the peiah which is head hair have a shiur that goes down to the bottom of your ear when you can clearly see the more wiry beard hair go up to top of the ear?
I'm sorry I don't understand your question. If you could clarify, perhaps that would help me understand.
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing practical English topic Shiurim
You are welcome
Amazing
Thanks
I believe kisre arizal says to not have long peyos.
Correct. According to the Shulchan Aruch, you wouldn't cut the hairs unless they went past the length of the Peyos. If a hair from the Peyos region was growing into the beard area then you would cut it. According to that opinion, your Peyos would not be thinned from the area where the crown begins (side of the hairline ) until where the jaw meets the skull.
@@RabbiBabayov thank you
