I truly appreciate this video now. With the implementation of full electric service between San Francisco and Diridon, there’s no more diesel through trains from Gilroy.

@@casualjrailfan And I'm not saying that because I don't like the way they look, they are uncomfortable, no snack car, seats are not as wide in my opinion. I've been riding the double deckers up to Martinez and purposely avoid the single deck cars for that reason.

@@casualjrailfan yes, the loco of the train on the adjacent track. What is the model called? I was so excited to finally see the actual loco that probably inspired the in-game one.
@@SyedMasoomMumeen The GTA wiki says the Brown Streak is based on EMD F40PH, and I guess I see it. The "caltrain of socal" is metrolink, so being GTA it's weird they didn't go with the EMD F59PH.

What is the advantage of this loop? I see train going in same direction from where it came?
@@doodlemoodle699 the grade is too steep for trains to pass so someone designed the loop to gain elevation within a smaller area

Did the engineer even notice him? I felt like he would have blown the horn or slam on the emergency brakes
@@SoCalOCRailfan Idk but the train did stop so the emergency brakes should have been pulled. It looked like the guy was there on purpose so the horn would probraly be useless.

That station is almost identical to one in Mountain View, Calif., all the way down to the overpass ramp. How bizarre. Oh,. Sunnyvale. Mystery solved. Mtn. View is the next stop for that train that started moving first. My home is just a few miles away. Final destination is San Francisco 50+ miles to the north. The train the video was shot in is heading to San Jose and beyond. I've never ridden the train south of M.V. so I never saw that station before, but I have driven on that on-ramp many times.
