If a product works as advertised, then the results are obvious.
The basic "gold standard" radon test method used here is a great starting point to try and determine if you have a radon problem. If however, any of your neighbors have issues already, then purchase of a longer-term radon measurement solution is warranted, and a better solution is to purchase an Ecosense or Airthings monitor. Academics can quibble about the absolute accuracy of such electronic devices, but in truth, their accuracy +/- 20% isn't an issue. The determination of the causes of radon level changes in the home is far more important.
Great

Any useful tips on how you got this successful?
Good presentation. Thank you.

Thanks for the talk!
Good thanks
Most informative video I've found yet. Plucking off all I can this summer and gonna spray next May. Problem is the birds are heavily nesting at that time so researching best chemical to not hurt them.
30 minute talk and not one mention of what medications to use.

Excellent analysis
Thank you! If you have any questions, please let me know. Sandra, Crop Production Agent.
Nice. Thanks. Will try.
Sounds like cafeteria style is the way to go. Allow the livestock select their own minerals as they feel their needs.
Depreciation is irrelevant. What matters is cash flow. Using the truck example. The truck cost $30000 but you pay for it over a 5 year term. So for 5 years that truck costs the operation $6000 per year. If you don't have the $6000/year to pay for the truck with the cash flow from the operation , that truck will be taken away.
We appreciate your comment.
why is the truck bring taken?
@@dojoparsnip9905 if you don't make your payments the truck will be repossessed.
@@jmfarms3555 lol. you worded that so oddly. but also what about the subsequent years when it is paid off? now you dont owe $6000 a year. or during use, you depreciate it to lower your taxes. Use the offset for your balance.
Wholesome
These are gross I seen one hanging under my deck then I looked in the Pinetree beside my deck and seen at least 20 gross
While the traditional Hereford/Aberdeen Angus baldy does well in the more temperate climates.they show heat stress in the south, why not look into a heat tolerant baldy using the Mashona (Bos Taurus Africanus) which has well marbled beef, highly fertile and will produce an F1 with a higher heterosis influence than two British breeds. The F1 could then be bred to any terminal breed - including a terminal Angus strain, and still benefit from a high heterosis effect.sangacattle.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=13579858 sangacattle.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=15962207

Thanks to our cooperators for each of the wheat plots: Josh and Calvin Bohnert, Jewell; Brady and Joe Coover, Lincoln; Marty Fletchall, Mitchell; Kelsey Remus, Osborne; and David and Kaid Sasse, Smith. Plans are to harvest each of the plots and distribute the yield reports. Thanks!
Look I have solved the issue. Vics vapor rub . 😉no more flies or ticks
Better living through chemistry!
great video!
Thank you so much!
Well done!
You see recently with the winter storm down here in Texas one of the smaller pine trees we have on our property lost several of it's large branches. I got those branches off of the tree and it's other branches so it wouldn't put too much weight on the smaller ones. Although, I noticed today while I was pulling the broken branches off that where the branches had broken (at the base of the branch against the tree) it looks infected with something. Some of the inner-wood was exposed and it looks like it has a lot of black/dark brown spots along with some white/grey spots and I noticed one green looking section. Hopefully I can save the tree, but I don't know how to treat the infection if it is one, because I don't know how to identify it. I think it could be a fungi infection or something. Some of the pine needles on the broken branch had white and black spots. Edit: Greetings from East Texas. Another Edit: The pine is a Short-leaf Pine Tree.
Greetings from Kansas! Let me send your issue to Cassie so she can hopefully help. Thank you so much, Shannon
@@PostRockExtension thanks for the speedy response!
@@cptray-steam Hi Johnny, It sounds like your pine tree has some rot. Decay can happen when trees are damaged. It is hard for me to say without seeing the tree but here is more information about tree wounds/decay: www.mortonarb.org/trees-plants/tree-and-plant-advice/horticulture-care/trunk-wounds-and-decay It would be a good idea to reach out to your local County Extension Agent or a certified arborist to help access the damage. Thanks! -Cassie
@@cassiethiessen1489 Thanks for the info! I can take a photo of it, the pine is relatively young and the spot where the branches broke off are easy to reach. Want me to snap some photo of the damage? I have a pretty good camera.
@@cptray-steam Yes, that would be helpful. You can send them to my email choman@ksu.edu Thanks!!
Thank you, guys!

Dr. Hanson is the one Ag professor at the University of Nebraska Ag College on East Campus that everyone remembers. His classes were always the toughest but also the most beneficial. Now as a farm manager with Farmers National Company we run into many of these scenarios and I recommend him and his program.
Thank you, Brandon!

Gooodd.
Kelsey, Thank you for an informative and concise presentation! After I get past the Yuck factor this week then I have been out this week removing the bags as they are so unsightly. I will be spraying some myself in the next few days and will repeat again in June. I can attest to the fact that you can bring an almost dead tree back to life with treatment. As always, I love these K State events. Thank you for putting on Zoom meetings and posting now on TH-cam, so appreciated during this Covid 19 pandemic to have access the Universities resources! I would definitely attend more Zoom meetings even in winter when its hard to travel. Thanks again for these efforts!
We are happy to hear the webinars helped you with the bagworms. I will be sure to pass this message on to Kelsey and Cassie. Thank you so much for supporting our programs. We couldn't appreciate you more, Renee! Many thanks, Shannon
My understanding is One should have 72hr go bags for emergency evacuation. And comms gear like cb radio or such when mobile network is usually down.
Anyone have recommendations on the fastest way for me to know and be able to properly react to local emergency? I appreciate your time in advance.
Glad to hear you are taking time before an emergency to plan. Ready.gov has a lot of great resources to help you identify what your local risks are and how to prepare and respond to them.
Love hearing how other states do 4H. Different techniques, safe goal. <3
