    This is complete and utter baloney. The cap is perfectly airtight - you just have to screw it on as well as it was from the store. In other words it should take some effort to tighten it, and the same amount of effort to re-open it was to open it from the store.

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I appreciate your perspective! It’s true that a well-sealed cap plays a big role in keeping soda fizzy. However, even the best seals can allow some gas to escape over time, especially with temperature changes. Storing the bottle upside down can help minimize that gas loss by keeping it in contact with the cap. It’s all about finding what works best for you! If you have a different method that keeps your soda fizzy, I’d love to hear about it!

      @@HomeDIYTips The sad fact is, nothing really works. Once opened and as the content is consumed, there will be more and more empty space that the carbonation will escape into. There is nothing you can do about it except drink up before all the fizz disappears. This video just makes me not ever want to watch the HomeDIYTips channel ever again, because it provides false and misleading information.

    The lime contains sugars though, so it would feed bacteria and mold

      That's a great point! While lime does contain sugars, the baking soda and the fabric softener can help balance things out by keeping the environment less hospitable for mold and bacteria. Plus, the acidity of the lime can be beneficial for cleaning. It's all about finding the right balance. Thanks for bringing this up! Have you tried any other natural cleaning methods?

      Thanks for watching! You can keep these containers out for about a week, but I recommend refreshing the oranges and the mixture every few days to maintain the scent. Enjoy the wonderful aroma in your home!

    They now can digest????

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! Rats can't properly digest baking soda, which causes them serious issues when they consume it. The baking soda reacts in their system, leading to discomfort and ultimately, it helps eliminate them. It's a humane and effective method to deal with a rat problem. Let me know if you have any more questions!

      That's a great point! Disassembling the fan and cleaning it directly can definitely be a quick and effective method, especially if you have a shower head handy. This hack is more for those who might want a less hands-on approach without the hassle of taking everything apart. Different methods work for different people! Thanks for sharing your technique!

    You disassembled it either way and used water!! Better to disassemble it, use a brush or a vacuum cleaner and assemble it. Just did it right now and took me around 5 minutes to do everything.

    Hey so after years of physically scrubbing fans, I'm in shock that this actually works! I wonder what would happen though if I just boil all of those ingredients together in a saucepan 🤔

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's awesome to hear! It’s surprising how a simple hack can change our cleaning routine. Boiling all the ingredients together might create a stronger solution, but it could also change the properties of the ingredients, particularly the toothpaste. It may not dissolve as well after boiling. If you're curious, you could try it in small batches to see if it enhances the cleaning power. Just remember to let it cool before using it on the fan! Happy cleaning!

    Then it’s better to Clean to open it first time and do it , rather putting your solution. What kind of method are you preferring . You first told no need to dismantle , end of the video you are dismantling everything.

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips หลายเดือนก่อน

      I understand your concern! The method shared is designed for a quick clean without disassembly, making it easier for those who want to avoid the hassle. However, for stubborn dirt or sticky residue, dismantling the fan for a thorough clean is indeed necessary. It really depends on the level of cleaning needed. Both approaches have their merits-quick and easy versus deep cleaning. Ultimately, it’s about what works best for your specific situation!
