I love Nikola. He made me a fan again. He is one of the best offensive players in history. But his defense is not on the level of all time greats like Wilt, Russell, MJ, Rodman, etc. He is a smart and decent defender, but he's not GREAT on that side of the court.

It is unfortunate that his father has failed to recognize that his son does not have "the gift." You can spot that in a young person by 16. To play pro anything, you CAN NOT learn it; you need the gift and then polish it. I was an Olympic cyclist in the 1970s. Of my 5 kids, none inherited the temperament or athleticism necessary to be a champion. I knew that by the time they were 12 years old. So I pushed their academics and did not give them false hope. Pro sports is not for everyone.
