Historical Coal Mines found in Medicine Hat & Redcliff, Alberta
The Dusty Compass Museum Team discovers historical Coal Mine locations in Echo Dale Park of Medicine Hat, Alberta. This display of beautiful Antique style reproduction buildings are set up so visitors can step back into time and experience a energy that once was a vibrant and bustling community. Now the sounds of nature, water rushing by in the South Saskatchewan river and nearby city sounds is all that you hear when taking a stroll along their accessible paths.
The multitude of various coal mines in this valley vary from large operations to small independent businesses. Ajax Mine was successful for many years, but others were built surrounding the community as well such as:

Redcliff Peerless Mine 1908 - 1945
Ansley Mine 1896-1909
