Yoshimitsu is not just my favorite Tekken character, but also in my opinion, he's the best fighter in tekken 8. He has so many ways to defeat, trick, and outsmart opponents. Plus, he reminds me of Brad Wong from dead or alive due to his tricky playstyle. Shout-out to FujinFox for the awesome videos.

Been doing some experiments lately by abstaining from certain moves to see if I can strengthen my use of others and possibly discover alternate strategies in certain situations, and by far the one I missed most when not using it was df4. This move is absolutely essential for Yoshi. I dropped two ranks without it. You're not wrong when you say you can play an entire game around it.

This move is the reason I hate fighting Yoshis as a Lars

Correction Asuka’s sabakis have hit boxes. Am keen to learn Yoshi as a sub. Asuka is my current main so I know her moves better.

Thank for the guide, also found out that if can use flash vs Lidia after any attack she does in her stances. So if see does ff+ 2 into attack anytime after that you can flash.

How long does flash’ hitbox stay out? It feels like even when i use a slower attack i still get hit by it his flash

uf 1+3 is a literall mind fuck if the enemy doesnt know. you can either follow up with uf 3, or do the sweep, if they mash you can just do flash.

One more usage of Flash that I've found is for punishing opponent's frame trap setups. Its the same concept of setting up traps on -4 or better situations on offense. Kazuya Df3 gives him +4, and his most common move after that is Df2. You've got a huge window to Flash in there if he's being greedy. Jin also has a +0 trap, i think its Ff3 or Df3 and I Flash there too! Any frame advantage that's +4 or less can be Flashed, and thats only if they jab. On a lot of these they're looking for a higher reward, and thus slower, option than a jab. Lots of room to make this work in certain MUs

Completely new to tekken and fighting games in general, love the guides. Your voice is super chill, makes watching so much easier to watch and internalize esp since I am watching late at night. After watching just the pokes/gameplay guide my raijin friend told me I improved significantly + was able to climb from unranked to orange in a sitting. Hoping to become a solid player and commit more learning since i havent found this much enjoyment in competive games in a while (competed high level in fps only for a long time)
