these cards looks amazing wow
opening a Bloomburrow pre-release kit and giving away a Magic: The Gathering Arena code for a lucky one who subscribes to the channel and comment on the video :) th-cam.com/video/Q6UH-HiubbY/w-d-xo.html
Certain uncommon cards might even sell on eBay because opening like 2 boxes only might get 1-2 uncommons of a card to fill a deck. Noticed Post Malone payed 2 mil for The One Ring. Bulk is usually forgotten but cards like Brainsurge is soo good to speed decks up.
Thanks for just getting to the point ... that is why I like the Japenese boosters, you get to the value (or lack there of) cards at the start .... "Show me the money!" Hahahahaha
I like them for the quality (until recently) but I also don't mind the 10 seconds to look through the rest of the pack lmao
Maha cool card ♠️♦️😊
Subbed, thanks for the code!
no angelic chorus? im not a miku fan but it didn't feel like any of these cards made sense...
They've got three more Miku lairs to go lol. The "Summer" lair will have the Sol Ring and Commander Tower.
very nice foils man. thanks for sharing. sad they are modern format :_(
I'm not too salty about MH3 being modern only but I wish Assassin's Creed was standard with the massive addition it would bring to Outlaw decks.
@@chasetheswift I'm not too much into standard, but i know it's always cool we had some cards in other formats :) Thanks for the comment bro.
Gamegenic thick inner sleeves or kcm hard inner sleeves???
This was KMC soft. I find the Hards/Thicks make commander decks too hard to shuffle. I also haven't checked in a while but I can't find Gamegenic Thick Inners anywhere anymore lol. Hell I'm having a hard time finding Gamegenic inner sleeves in general. I switched to KMC Softs because you can get them for like $3 a pack when you buy 10 packs on amazon.
Is that entire deck, foils? Wow
Yeah the Collector's Editions are all foil. So a box of curls lol.
@@chasetheswift that’s awesome 😎
Scalefest?? I thought that was a Plastic model event. Care to elaborate?
Scalefast is the company handling the purchase and shipping for this WotC secret lair.
Ohhhhh gotcha. Thank you. Too many hobbies I have I suppose.
Sorry I have the Inland North accent! 😅
cat gang :3
I assume they are the real draw of my videos
Worst set yet 😂😂
Worst starter kit maybe, MoM Aftermath takes the cake for worst set lmao.
why tho?
@@SeniorAdrian it's missing the Arena Codes that the last 5 or so kits had. The cool part of the Arena kits is that they came with two sets of codes to use on arena. So you could practice with the decks you just bought online and in paper. It's like a third of the product is missing. Mechanically the decks are really good but since the set isn't on arena, the didn't include codes.
@@chasetheswift Oh, ok, so the decks are good, it's just the codes. Yeah, that's really bad. I don't play the game anymore. I used to proxy everything. It's gotten way too expensive and ideological for me.
I remember getting this same set as a kid
Do you have any spare mtg arena codes to give away??
Currently no unfortunately.
WTF do you mean by mixed double sleeves
Just re-watched. The fact that not every card in the deck is double sleeved. Like only the value is double sleeved. For my collection I put cards of value in inner sleeves for storage, so when it comes time to toss together a casual commander deck I just leave those value cards in the inner sleeves but I won't bother to put the chaff into inner sleeves.
omg, you sound like you are dying...
Curling right out of the box on a product that’s several hundred dollars. Typical.
Preach
Thumbs up for kitty
Your complaint about sealed seems to be a more consistent issue in the Play Booster era. In draft, if you open a 4 rare pack, that gets spread across the draft, and may actually be an improvement from Draft Boosters because you're more likely to get big splashy rares that complete your deck. But with sealed, if you don't get a bomb pack, you're more likely than you were in the draft era to run into bomb pools from your opponent's. So the average power level has gone up, but the difference between the floor and the average is way bigger now.
For sure. I have yet to do a draft, so I wonder if it will be less lumpy. The only play booster sealed I had a good time with was Murders.
Man I spent $30 on the foil goblin welder, it's only $6 now 😭
My heart goes out to your wallet
This secret lair had such great cards and art. Shame they ruined it with a dead meme
I'm only here for the art
What cha doing with those lizard blades?
archidekt.com/decks/4350579/halana_and_alena_very_good_friends
Damn need these fallout ones too. Couldnt grab them before, still hope to get them soon and open them on my own channel.
Love these cards, especially in foil. Maybe gonnan do these on my channel too.
I honestly just wish the boxes dragon shield sleeves came in could hold all the cards you sleeve with the sleeves. Then we wouldnt need to buy these
Fair. I have a deck that has 120 cards and about 20 tokens I keep with it though so the bigger box is useful.
Now that you've had them for a bit, how have they fared? I typically buy Dragonshields, but frequently split them while mash shuffling. Was looking forward to Curv sleeves because of the reception to the way they shuffle, but durability at their price point matters just as much if not more so.
So out of 13 boxes, 4 have had sleeves that split. So definitely worse durability. Unlike other brands you know you've got a bad box right away. The shuffling feels so good though...
@@chasetheswift odds aren't horrible I guess, but definitely uncomfortable. I think I may give them a shot, if just to experience the shuffling.
@@gabrielloza4708 yeah I think I've had like 7 or 8 dragon shield sleeves fail out of like 30 boxes over two years. I'm probably not going to buy any more Curvs for a while. Might try them again in a year or so.
I pulled mana vault foil
Badass!
Show us!!!!... 🙂
Fomoing the manavault burnt up the last of my good will towards secret lairs >:C
I feel that
Can you turn this starter into a commander deck? New to magic so info in appreciated 🙏
There's two starter decks in the box, so in theory two skeletons for commander decks but would require an additional 100-140 cards. I'd look at the pre-constructed Commander decks if you are a very new player and are not ready for deck building.
@chasetheswift awesome noted thanks for the reply dude! I'm looking into the rider of Rohan or elven council commander decks just to help get the feet wet any suggestions on which is better for newbie?
@@kingofthedead13 Rohan is simpler and more straight forward combat tricks. Elven Council is slower deck that's a little less forward but can be a lot of laughs in a group, similar to a board game. If you can find it for a decent price though the Food and Fellowship precon is one of the best that wizards has ever made.
@chasetheswift I found a Rohan deck for a pretty good price and if it's more straightforward most likely I go with that and im sorry what was the second deck you were recommending?
@@kingofthedead13 the Hobbit deck. Food and Fellowship. It's a monster and has a fun flavor.
Shark Typhoon is the win con
i'm only here for the cat 🐱
I respect this.
Rip secret card
The other faerie secret lair cards are like 15-35 bucks man, these will definitely go up in price
noice.
The texture on the back reminds me of my dad's old f250 with the vinyl bench seat
THIS
For me the Cortex are the best sleeves, i tried many and i hate Dragon Shield.
That's valid, the DS have a polyurethane feel where UG feel like vinyl.
This is my first time seeing any of your videos. The quality of the visual and audio are great, the value in this video is alright. I was hoping hear a bit more than what has already been said about UG vs DS sleeves. Also have your sleeevs not gunked up yet? Mine got nasty after 7 games of standard Pokemon though there is a ton of shuffling in Pokémon compared to Magic. Also i got 2 to 3 extra sleeves in my Cortex matte sleeev box so thats weird. Thank you for your time.
Unfortunately the UG vs DS has been explained to death lol. Basically the UG Katanas feel slightly sturdier but the DS shuffle better. I've shuffled mine about 20 or so times. I assume after a few months they will be like sand paper lol.
Thanks for the unboxing! Iam still undecided. How do you like it so far?
I don't use it as much as I used to. I primary play commander so I tend to bring my tablet or a command zone playmat with me or if I am playing another format I need my note pad for life. The box fits about 6 commander decks so I'll use it if I'm taking like 5 decks with dice but won't need my tablet, command zone mat, or a note pad. I love it, it was my daily driver for about a year, and still use it occasionally when the situation fits.
@@chasetheswift In the case of a play mat, I intend to get Quiver's play mat carrying tube thing in addition to the Quiver carrying case. I'm leaning towards the bigger case over the Bolt at the moment.
@@Tae_Grixis hrmmm, I didn't know about their tube. Might have to get one and test is out.
@@chasetheswift It's called the "Quiver Time XL Orion Playmat Tube". It comes in black and red so far.
Its easy enough to solve the air cushion effect. When you get done sleeving your deck, stuff them into a case and keep stuffing more cards till it's a tight fight. Put the lid on and leave em for a couple hours
I unbox myself yesterday and got - hunting velociraptor (borderless - foiled, roaming throne (borderless), bloodletter of aclatotz , carnage tyrant, nezahal - primal d'tide, get lost, bitter triump, inti - seneschla of the sun and much more ... I love it
i got a box of white ones and played 2-3 times a week for 3-4hours and none of them split from the corners. Maybe im lucky or dont mash shuffle as hard as other people do.
The second box of white ones I just recently bought has had two sleeves bust corners from shuffling.
Do you think the inners they sell are worth buying and how often have they split for you? I’ve heard mixed reviews I’m just debating the Hard or non hard inners.
I have done about 100 shuffles with a double sleeved deck using the regular inners and have had no issues. I've got 4 decks with the regular inners. I have a set of hard inners as well that I go into with this video th-cam.com/video/htyMie8ZonM/w-d-xo.html. I would say for commander decks stick to the regular inners as the hard inners make the 100 card decks too unmanageable. I do use the hards with my 60 card standard deck and they are nice.
@@chasetheswift so you say they don’t damage very fast or split
@ZachYoung2001 I've had no issues with the inners but I've only used them with the outer sleeves. The outer sleeves, I've heard about 3 out of 10 boxes that have had splitting issues.
@@chasetheswift I know some say if they split you’d just send a message to Heavy play and they send a new one.
Great to see someone still doing collector box openings! 🔥 great stuff, I’m hoping to get my own Doctor Who box this year, maybe in person at a comic-con!
I can understand why people are not doing them as much. The cost to cards ratio, Wizards being Wizards, and MTG views are just down.
I miss this era of magic. When 60 card was fun and simple and not 90% t2/t3 try hard decks and more complicated mechnanics that just are redundant [even as a commander lover, its tiresome to constantly have to learn these new convoluted mechanics every month]
Kitty butt!
