Man, you gotta love and trust the folks you are riding with on trips like this. I need to stick a camera on the back of the bike, I have no idea how I haven't scraped floorboards yet. I would love to know how close I've come. 13" in the rear has to be the only reason it hasn't happened, I ride pretty aggressive.
Yes, those guys are the best, it’s family. Strong bonds are build riding together. I mount one of my cameras on the saddle bag crash bar, facing forward. You’ll get that board shot there

I rode it two weeks ago it was an awesome ride did it both ways I highly recommend it big sweepers and lots of switch backs toward the end heading toward the Harley shop that Restraunt across the street from cherohala hd was pretty good too

Last time we were up there Cherohala was closed. I don't know where you stayed but check out 2 wheeled inn in Robbinsville. Each room has it's own garage for your bike. That trip we headed up toward Knoxville and headed back east through WV/VA headed back home from around Roanoke. 1800 miles
I rode it last year and part of it was closed for some repairs or improvements, but this year I was able to go through it. I love that road, such a nice ride. I’ll check out 2 Wheeled Inn, heard good things about it. The las few years I’ve stayed at a friend’s house by Young Harris GA.
My self and 7 friends road down from 15 miles north of Boston to Robbinsville if you have a group we rented a house at the tail of the dragon rentals it’s actually located on 143 ended up costing us 180 dollars a guy for the week the owner Ron was super friendly.

@2wheels_goodvibes yeah me to thats why I still ride my86 flhtc that I bought new ! back then Harleys were affordable! funny thing is the styling hadn't changed in all these years much.ican turn my bike into a street glide just by taking the trunk off.

So I'm also in NC and traveling to daytona in spring so what's the best way and good places to stop? May be trailering or not, haven't decided
Hey, I wish I could be more help. But every time I’ve gone that way I just hauled a… on 95 to get there quick. But I’ve been thinking of taking a leisure ride that way either this fall or next spring. When I do I’ll make sure to make a video out of and highlight the nice spots. @@2wheels_goodvibes yeah the last time we rode back from Daytona, the only dry spot we had was 30 minutes in Savannah and that is totally ruined me of wanting to ride in the rain again if I get stuck in it, I’ll ride in it, but I know it’s gonna rain. I’m staying home or taking the car.
