Parking break just broke again.
Thank you for the video, the one a customer brought me broke the same way.
Were you able to vomit after you drink too much alcohol? I’m not able to vomit with my linx device. I sometimes panic now when I feel nauseous.
@todd351 Yes, I can with no problem.
@@danielreeves4799 thanks for the reply. Maybe my device is too tight. I think I’m going to go in and get it stretched. They can do some kind of balloon procedure.
Thank you! Brand new mower and the parking brake went on me...have to tell the little ones to go a little bit easier on the brake :)
I'm having HH repair and LINX out in in about a week. Would you mind telling me your foods after surgery? How quickly did you try "normal" foods again?
Hey bud how are doin? After years I still can't find a better singer than you on Smule. Wish you were still on smule, but I'm proud I got two joins from you. To me you're the best bud. Never stop singing! I wish I could sing like you
@deanleo77 hey man. I can't remember my login info for that. I'll see if I can find it. Thanks for the support
Whats your name on there?
@@danielreeves4799 my name is Hey_Howdy (Dean) thanks man
After complete healing do you always have to eat very slowly for the rest of your life??...Thanks...getting ready to have lynx
@leonardsalzman8954 I had to eat slow for a few months. I can eat normally now. The only thing that gives me trouble these days are carbonated drinks.
@@danielreeves4799 Thank you so much.

@@danielreeves4799 thank you, had Linx 3 days ago feeling good.
Posting that all is good is just perfect.
2020 post OP best thing that happened to me
Hey Daniel, Im from India, I have a small sliding hiatus hernia. Im having symptoms that fluctuate between GERD and LPR. I'm trying to get this done. As the symptoms stopping me from living a normal life. Can you let me know the process in detail for the surgery and the recovery time. Many thanks! Hope this finds you well.
I have more videos on my page that have more details on how mine went. Thank you for watching.
But in India this procedure is not available
Thanks for posting man, this is inspiring. QQ, is there any restriction on lifting weights? Also, does the surgery effect singing at all?
I had to wait a few weeks to go back to the gym. And my singing voice is better now because acid isn't going ij my voice box everyday
Why don't they have an implant that just sends an electrical current to keep the muscle around the lower esophageal sphincter closed? This seems overly invasive.
Wish I had an answer for that. But this isn't that bad.
Are you feeling well enough to make more videos of cover songs? Wishing you the very best.
Great that the LINX has been so successful for you, it’s been a complete game changer for me
I had this surgery about a month ago and it’s a real game changer. I wish I had done it sooner it’s made such a difference.
Thanks for posting the update. When it is going well very few people do. I like to hear about results long term.
So your hiatal hernia caused the reflux I guess. You would think that fixing the hiatal hernia would fix the reflux without having to get the linx.
Had procedure done about 3 years ago and so far it has been night and day for my heart burn. It has been working excellent so far and has been a real life saver. I have also been able to eat anything and I am able to sleep throughout the night without being woke up with heartburn. I highly recommend this procedure, I have not had to take any heartburn meds since the procedure.
Glad to hear, I am on the fence about it as well. Is there a way to contact you regarding this?
Did you experience any difficulties in singing? Did you lose air and the ability to do breathy singing? Or lost in range ?
I did at first, but I'm even better now.
Did you experience dysphagia after the first 6 weeks of linx surgery and if you did how did you manage this condition as apparently the dysphagia can go on for 3 months after it starts? thanks.
I didn't. Sometimes, things go through slow. You just have to slow down and breathe and not panic . I take too big of bites sometimes.
Who did the surgery?
have you had hiatal hernia?
Yes I had one
Can you go through metal detectors?
I believe you can. I haven't had to.
If u have any burb or acid reflux ? Do u eat everything u want ? Please tell me I am from india
No. I did before surgery, but now I don't. Sometimes I still get heartburn, but I'll take a tums to help.
@@danielreeves4799 thank u u eat any food or follow some diet
Are you able to sleep on flat bed?
Yes the first night after surgery
Thank you for posting these clips. I'm at the crossroads about to make a decision. Already have Barrett's. What about your voice. Did you see improvement?
Yes it seems better. Best decision I ever made.
Any problems with shortness of breath?
The first couple of days yes.
@danielreeves4799 Hi Dan, does everybody struggle with the shortness of breath? I have mine done next week and I am on a CPAP for sleep apnea... did not know shortness of breath until I saw you so thanks for that info
They said it was normal when I had it done
@@danielreeves4799 Thanks Daniel, how long was the procedure mate and how are you doing now?
@brianmacpherson6115 I think 2 or 3 hours. I'm doing great. I get heartburn every so often. I sleep so much better I don't miss work because I'm sick from the night before. I can eat late without having to be afraid. I can eat spicy food, no problem. I forget I have it.
@@danielreeves4799 Hey thanks for your insight Daniel 👍

Does insurance cover it?
Most do.
Please we want updates
New video out now
Did you have an endoscopy before? Any esophagitis prior to the surgery?
Yes I had a lot of test done I had gastritis and a hiatal hernia and my L.E.S. wasn't working properly
Thank you, for providing updates.I just got this procedure done last week.
Thank you
Hey Daniel, thanks for posting. Was wondering did you take PPIs before this? Would be awesome if you could post a video of your story with GERD.. how old you were when symptoms came up, how long you tried to manage before surgery, was finding a surgeon easy, insurance for it was easy? Etc. thanks
Yes, I was on PPIs. I was about 17 when my Gerd started, and I tried to manage my symptoms for about 10 years to no avail. I went to my gastro doctor who had been prescribing me the PPIs and told him I wanted to quit taking the pills and he recommended me to a surgeon that has been doing the Linx procedure for a while. My insurance covered the whole surgery because I had already met my deductible for that year. Hope that helps.
@@danielreeves4799 yes thank you brother for the response. I’ll talk to my GI as well
Hey Daniel did you live alone going through this process?
@@c.e.w5833 I didn't my wife was with me.

Thank you
@@danielreeves4799hey bro, how you doing these days
Thanks a lot! Yours is the only video I found that really shows how to do it.
Hi, thanks for sharing. How are you doing after few more months?
Honestly, is there any reflux esophagitis, or has it completely disappeared?
Every now and then I'll get a little heartburn but it's beacuse I'll eat something that causes it.
😮 did you lose 30 pounds? I am about to do the procedure and I am afraid to lose weight. Did you have difficulty to eat in the first month? They say I might lose 10 pounds but I think it is too much.
I didn't have trouble swallowing. I was also trying to lose weight
How are you feeling now after the surgery??can you carry weights??
I'm back to normal I can do anything.
Did your insurance cover the procedure?
Yes
Do you suffer from bad breath before the surgery?
Yes
Did you ever used to get the feeling of liquid in your mouth when you would bend down prior to doing the LINX?
Yes. Everytim I would bend down befor I had linx liquid would start to flow in my mouth.
Did you have any tough recovery at all? Others say it is along recovery of eating very slow and it takes time.
Not really my recovery wasn't that bad
Thanks for making these vlogs man glad you’re doing well! I’m going in for mine in 30ish days
Hey before you got the linx was your symptoms burping a lot, regurgitation and abdominal pain?
Yes sir regurgitation was the worst.
@@danielreeves4799 Ok just wondering because had gerd for years but was under control with medication but then in January I started getting all these symptoms so wondered if everyone else was same.
