This is one of my favorite games of all time. My first stalker game I’ve ever played as well. Idk how a game could be so frustrating but also so satisfying at the same time ? It feels so real because of the struggle. Enemies will actually HIT you when shooting at you, enemies will realistically hear you approaching. Can’t wait for the further updates to polish this absolute diamond

No, the game sucked, especially compared to the old ones. Yeah, good graphics, sometimes interesting story (btw it ruins the lore of stalker), but also tons of bugs, no a-life, empty maps (and a lot of cringe long distance walking), removed night vision and binoculars, mutants disbalance, poor side quests, a lot of unnecessary fan service, no freeplay and lots of other things to mention. It can only be saved by modders.

STALKER always had this inventory system. It's supposed to be like this. That's the beauty of the game

The best loadout imo is this: - Marksman’s AR15 (the special one that does more damage and has a scope already on it) - Saiga 12 with your choice of attachments (Or RAM-2) - (Skif’s Pistol is fine) USP (Silenced) Carry in your backpack: - 15 Medkits - 10 Bandages - 10 Water or 10 Energy Drink - 10 Food (Any) - 3 Radiation Blockers Ammo: - 5.56 (300 Bullets… 150 is fine but I like to explore a lot before I get back to a city) - 12x70 (60 Shells) - .45 (80 Bullets)

This is real. I've really enjoyed the weight in Stalker 2, it is mostly realistic, but a little forgiving like most things. I carry only what I need and I am able to grab a lot of loot. 'Game journalists' are an out of touch joke.

it's totally sufficient to just go out with 20...23kg of supplies pistol + 100 round, shotgun + 150 round, 5 bandage, 3 medkit. No food, maybe just 1 anti rad for emergency. THAT's ALL. The environment have too many goat damn supplies! shotgun like spas-12 is just too powerful as most combat are close quarter, or you can just sprint between covers to get close to the enemy.

My default loadout is 15 med kits, 10 bandages, 3 anti-rad injectors and 2 vodka. 5 Water and 5 Energy drinks and 3 canned meats for food. For Ammo I bring anywhere from 4-6 stacks per ammo type for the guns I use, a Pistol i'll only bring 2-4 stacks and I never run guns with the same ammo type. If I am going somewhere and the enemy uses the same ammo type i'll bring 4, if it's mutants i'll bring 6. You're almost always guaranteed to find supplies along the way somewhere. I will sometimes bring extra meds like Vinca or Hercules etc. but I usually limit myself at 2 each. As for grenades I never start out with some and almost always sell them on return. If I find some and need to I'll use them but weight to Koupons they're one of the best loot items.

100% right man, S2 is my first Stalker game, and i love how brutal it is. I've been wanting a game to rival the Fallout 4 Survival mode experience and this absolutely scratches that itch lol

Most importantly, Stalker is supposed to have A-life and run on a normal pc

In my mind, I agree with the video, but in practice, I sometimes have half of the Zone in my backpack. Something I like about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is that everyone can play their own way.

I pick up every sellable gun I can to afford to repair my expensive ass armor

I WILL carry 600-900 bullets for each of my main weapons, with my armor designed to carry more and you cannot stop me lmao.

Stalker 2 looks like a small or solo dev game. It looks really easy to make.

My only complaint is that the game world feels so empty compared to original three stalker games. All the locations are there but there's no NPC running around. Unfortunately Epic games has duped the entire market with Unreal 5 claiming it's resource efficient. However per the devs we don't see the world populated because there aren't any free resources for the npcs. They keep working on optimization to free up resources to spawn some NPC squads in but so far it hasn't happened in any of the patches. Unreal game engines are the worst thing to happen to gaming in a long time.

You don't even need 2 big guns. A good pistol against easy mutants and a big gun against people and scary mutants. That's enough. And if you want to run for hours go and find some artifacts. Always been like that.

I always carry an extra rifle with me in case i run out of ammo for one gun, but uh, call of Pripyat might have the most forgiving weight system out of the 4 games once you get an exo skeleton the game becomes easy mode

I am doing a playthrough where Im not allowed to drop any items, and no guides... right now my sluggish ass is being dragged 4km across the map... why did i do this

I just use old stash bags to hold guns then I'll come back with notting and pick it all up and head to ragman And don't disrespect me for my way I'm the arena legend 😂😂😂😂

I consider myself a casual gamer, I play a game purely for the fun and enjoyment of it. Stalker as a series has drawn my interest due to its ascetics and atmosphere, the vibe peaks my interest. But I’ve always been intimidated by it which has kept me from playing it. So I have to ask as you seem like a reasonable person, would you recommend this game to me? How steep is the learning curve? Or should I just pass and look somewhere else?

cool mod, but not very good for low level players

I may be a weeny hut general but I am playing on easy to start since I have never played a STALKER game, and am throughly enjoying it. I plan on replaying it at a later time on a harder difficulty (maybe when they fix the AI feature everyone is upset about I will so it feels like the "true" experience difficulty/NPC-wise).

Nope SVD ammo is rare.

Remember smaller bullet like 9mm can have 600 round an not be that over weight

Okay, so it is intended that you carry 90 AK rounds, but it takes 100 headshots to destroy the BloodSucker

I agree with everything you say. Carry weight demands planning and thinking. It adds so much to the game. Also it’s not hard. I just finished the game on hardest difficulty with mods installed that make it even harder. Or rather, I almost finished, haven’t beaten the last boss yet because due to the mods he one shots me every time and if I load without the mods I’m afraid I will fuck up my save game.

"Learn to let go" - basically the whole philosophy of STALKER, everything is temporary...

Armor, helmet, 2 anti-radiation artifacts, 1 for endurance, 1 for carry weight, AKM, saiga, complimentary PTM (annoying, let me leave this thing pls) all loaded, 90 5x45, 20 buckshots, 10 slugs, 10 to 20 9x18, 3 medkits, 3 bandages, 4 to 5 breads. That's it. That's all I take. To anyone who didn't notice: personal stashes are a free, instantenuous delivery service. Be grateful they work like that, they didn't have to.

I carry like 300 shotgun shells and 900 as Val ammunition because of the weird water anomaly so skill issue ig

Modern gamers are too used to triple a fps slop games where you are a badass on a powertrip and you don't need to think to survive and win the game.

I enjoy this game but having to use exploits to get your carry limit up is ridiculous and having to go everywhere with a stack of energy drinks is dumb asf. Being able to level up the character would add a lot of substance

That one of the reasons wright now I chose this type of equipment that I got even with exosceleton. -Take almost most between 15-25 medkits, 12 bandages, 8 cans or some kind of diffrent food and only 5 antirad. -I found Rhino (hunting revolver) that is good on short and medium range with high dmg, and unique Vintar. True those weapons use the same type of ammo but 9x39 ammo is lighter and I can carry it more so I can use it for both Rhino for short range and Vintar for long range fights. -The only diffrent is the automatic shotgun with like 20-40 bullets and I almost use it if only for mutans. This and ONLY this I know its enought so I can also find some things to also take some loot and sell it or hide it in mine stash if its overstock of ammo, meds, food. What it goes to mine stash is for later usage or must be unique like some armors or weapons for later usage if mine current weapons lack ammo.

Journalists only play easy or brain dead games that a 13 year old with iron deficiency could play. So when they play a actually hard game they as you said burst into tears just trying to walk form A - B

hate to break it to you but as a long time stalker fan, this has to be the worst stalker game other than clear sky. plays nothing like a stalker game. i never expected it to best anomaly as that mod has had many many years to build upon the games but atleast take a few pages out of their book or try and compete with the previous games. everytime i play this game i just feel like quitting and playing the other stalkers. such a lesser experience and you are either deluded or ignorant if you think otherwise

Its bad that I'm treating this like Dying light and just shoving everything in the BOX and never touching it again (Except for a couple guns and artifact hording). Artifact hording is for achievement, and gun hording is for when I want to use a different gun instead of the same one over and over.

Your telling me, I can't pick up any gifts, it keeps saying inventory full, I drop everything didn't help save them delete game didn't work I read online and some idiot said it's because the inventory is full like oh yeah I didn't realize that the inventory said full smh can't find a fix so I'm gonna start hacking

I play on hardest difficulty and it’s not that bad most human enemies die to one headshot I like that I can’t just body shot people to death I have to be accurate (mutants are a pain in the ass though)

I dont understand all the hate on dying light 2, i enjoy it and think its a fun game. I mea. Its definitely not the captivity and thrill as dying light was, but i think thats the problem people compare the sequel to much to the masterpiece. Its like someone who ate the BEST food in the world then had a burger from McDonald's

Thank you for the vid. It's nice to see someone who actually knows this stuff post a vid. Sad to see all the newbies cry about difficulty and carry weight but we can't all be veterans of og stalker on master difficulty... Stay Cheeki Breeki
