I would do it with a minimum grade of 6, because the last PSA 6 sold for $600 more than the last BGS 6.5. If you get the 7, you increase value by $2,000-$2,500.

I'm sorry that happened to you, but you left out the most important piece of information...what was the lowest subgrade? If it was lower than an 8, you cannot expect an 8.

I also would have only paid $249 for Super Express grading.

Sub grades were 9, 9, 9, 8. The 8 was for srface.

For a card value over $5k, the walk thru price is $499. $249 is for a max card value of $5k. I guess I should have chosen the lower but a PSA 8 card value on sports card investor is around $7k.

True...winning means a lot to the sports card market, but Wemby's cards have gone back up quite a bit as he keeps improving and his stats keep rising. I still find Chet's cards to be way undervalued compared to Wemby, but when buying raw and grading, remember also that the ratio is huge for some Wemby cards, huge gain in value from raw to PSA 10.

Yes my last completed Value Plus order was received on 21 February and completed March 12th. In the PSA app, under Orders, what does your status show? Go in there and make sure there is no payment issue, etc. Also, is yours an Autograph order by any chance? Those take longer.

@@varietytradingcards7624 So, I actually messaged them yesterday and they told me I had an upcharge on two of the cards from the $39 to the $75 tier (two Anthony Richardson Prizm Silver autos gemmed so good stuff). The thing that bothers me is, is that there was no email or notification at all. The cards just sat there ready to go for almost 2 weeks until I reached out to them to ask what the holdup was. I gave the ok for the upcharge, and everything pretty much immediately completed and shipped right away.

I absolutely agree with you. I actually have planned a video analyzing this soon, that Wemby prices may always stay somewhat higher than Chet's but they are performing very similarly, Chet is on a winning team, and the price gap should close when Wemby's season ends and Chet is in the playoffs getting more notice.

@@varietytradingcards7624 I wanted to switch it to a PSA 9 if possible if not leave it as be. They sent it back and said evidence of trimming, basically saying bgs graded a trimmed card I guess.

BGS will typically only give .5 higher than whatever the lowest grade is, no matter what the other subs are.

I disagree since the gem rates fall very well in line with the quality control and the card you see. If what you are saying is true why do the 2021 NFL Kabooms known to have the print line have a 3% gem rate and 2022 Kabooms with the same amount of production and grading have a 70% gem rate? The answer is no print line/better quality control. The data doesn't match/support the conspiracy theories.

@@varietytradingcards7624 Aren't the Kabooms supposed to be really rare, though? If so, then condition shouldn't play a role in them at all. My point is that truly rare collectibles are not dictated in value by condition. The cards that rely strictly on condition are the ones that PSA loves to control population on. There are exceptions with truly rarer items, and it's those items that should do well, regardless of condition.

Not true, got the correct grade and increased value by hundreds. Always worse to crack.

It's based on the visibility through the slab. So if your slab is dirty and scratched up as hell and you can't tell if certain flaws are on the card or slab, it's generally not going to cross well if you put a min grade requirement. It's not a scam at all.

@@frostyfeetcards Impossible to see every flaw on a slab card without cracking it. Also we all know PSA will never ever give a higher grade than what BGS assigned, they would lose the stigma that they are more "strict"

@@varietytradingcards7624 idk, but my point is it being a rookie card would shield the downside if you wanted to hold. The market for rookies stuff of all players is a lot stronger than non-rookies regardless of scarcity.

Not understanding that statement. Cracking them is crossing them over. Same price and same card, I keep crossing them over and making profit. Why would it be good to crack them first?
