im too old to strip for them stripers i net my own minnows and just drift one 15' down get bigger fish that way 23/25" are the eaters tho but i like them 15 pound drag pullers dont see many catchin them anymore use to be easy when they had the store on the water there finding the minnows can take a little while sometimes used to get a dozen big azzz minnows for 3 bucks at the store that was a long time ago.many younger ppl dont know they had a store on the water.

I lived in valley springs for over 15 years and fished that lake regularly and I’ve never seen this technique before. Does it require lead core line? Is there anyway to get to the depth otherwise? Curious if I could just troll files on the downriggers or is it the fast action of the stripping that’s enticing the bite? Would love to get back out there and try for some of these fun fighting fish. Great video, appreciate any feedback or tips!
