The game sure does have its fair share of issues. I remember the pterodactyl one in particular when I use to casually play this game many years ago and I was so confused as to why I couldn't leave the desert area. Same for wanting to replay the bi-plane minigame... and lets not forget the loading screens! I think if the devs on the first game weren't so greedy, LEGO Island 2 could've been so different and for the better.

It is faster, but for some reason, the landing pad doesn't work in that particular instance of the run. I'm guessing its to do with landing the pterodactyl on it and the game still thinks its a used landing pad

I think its safe to say we were all like that at one point lol. I think this game was more of a guilty pleasure than anything else.

I know right! I wonder how long it would take to do a run without skipping the cutscenes. Probably mess the run up as the NPCs and Bricksterbots would be in different areas of the island. Only rememberable skips you can do are using the skateboard on Ogel island and the Pepper's house teleport method, but no sequence skips unfortunately. Maybe one day, but the game is so linear though.

Probably just left over content that the devs decided to keep in just for fun. I say that because years ago, if you use the hand glider or pterodactyl and go back to the desert, you could get soft locked because there would be no way to get back to LEGO Island. Only happened once from what I can remember so the steps might be incorrect or requires additional factors.

Yep! Rarely see the spinning pizza disc for more than 3 seconds per loading screen.

I was gonna say, the fact that warping to Pepper's House (and invoking two loading screens) is even capable of SAVING time at all, says quite a lot about the power of that mod. Which, from what I've read, literally changes one... single... line of code. Just one line, and minute-long load times begone. Which makes me wonder... how did Lego make _that_ tier of coding mistake in the first place???

@@WackoMcGoose lego didnt make the game, silicon dreams was the developer and lego was the publisher afaik

@@WackoMcGoose My jaw literally dropped when warping to Peppers house was used to save time. Really shows how awful the original loading times were.

You can also get it from myabandonware, but you'll have to convert the file into an ISO image

Was it the one where you would end up going out of bounds if you end up getting stuck between the two things at 25:35? That can cause you to go out of bounds depending on how you collide with it

I couldn't say. I tried using a controller the other day for playing it, but just found it weird. Didn't help that the game didn't register all of my buttons on my PS4 controller properly

Its because I got silver on that level. If you get gold, you will get the moonwalk animation. To avoid getting gold, if you walk on the lava and the hot red square things, then that will affect your score. I need to double check which is actually quicker to get. I feel getting silver is quicker, but I'd need to figure out how many hits I have to make to get silver.

@@SamTheAvianite Sweet! There is also the time as well to consider, but I think the hits are quicker than just moving slowly though.

@@edgeninjagaming what are your mod loader settings at? Because I'm pretty sure I'm in windowed mode yet I still have to switch to 30fps for the speedster and the biplane part of the game.
