Update: A credit was issued for the wine from the minibar. I called, then emailed, but did not receive a response. I wrote a review upon request from the hotel and was contacted within a day by management regarding the charge with an apology and the credit.

Review of The Westin and Why it’s the BEST Resort in Nusa Dua❤️🌞🌴
Great video. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.
There are definitely elevators and ramps. I'm not sure about access to golf carts, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate requests. I would contact the resort about golf carts. There is a shuttle service to and from the Bali Collection.
Probably the filter on the side of the ball and/or the seal it sits on and maybe a clog somewhere. I'd refer to the manual that came with it, clean the filters, and check for clogs.
Good video. Very clear
I just found your channel. I can't wait to see what you have say about this box.
Beautiful woman and excellent video!
Thank you so much for the kind words❤
WONDERFUL Mum & I and cinnamon r coming soon
I hope you all have the best time! Beautiful property and excellent location.
I thought the nusa dua beach was blocked off by the private resorts. Is that true or can everyone easily get to the beach?
The resorts have chairs set up on the beach, but there’s no security or anyone preventing people from walking on the beach.
Good video❤
The tip of the island was a misleading tracking station in the 50s…..no they don’t rent chairs on the beach ….don’t miss the esplanade …bars and restaurants on the water ….
Great advice--thank you!
That's Bill W. playing the violin 🎻
You’re correct! He played beautifully❤️
Beautiful video. The history of Alcoholics Anonymous is captured beautifully.
Just had one delivered yesterday from local hardware store. I find that the button to lower the left side table doesn't depress so I can't make it go down. Any idea why?
I just examined mine and the side table doesn’t appear to fold down. I looked underneath and it doesn’t seem to have a mechanism to allow it to fold.
I used to go here when I was a kid.
What you can do at Nusa Dua night time all shops closes too early 😢
I took a taxi to Sanur one night and it was very lively! I went to Nusa Dua after Ubud to slow down, so it was perfect for my needs. I thought businesses opened late, too. Starbucks didn't open until 10:00 a.m.☕😳
That house should be exactly like it is for tourists to see from aa. Really neat video and God bless dr bob. God used him to help save so many lives. Thx
I'm so glad this is now a historical site and available to the public. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the kind feedback❤
Yes…. Thank you for video…. 19 years and 6 months here…. All because of these two men and this house ♥️. We Cannot tforget the coffee pot I would love to visit some day 💯❤️💯
@@lisaannevaccarezza6122 Sobriety is a beautiful miracle. Friend of Bill W. myself (17 years). I would love to visit during Founders' Day. It's this coming weekend. There's a play put on by people in recovery. This year the play is called "Snow White and The Seven Character Defects."
Hi Julia, Thank you for your wonderful video. You mentioned that you walked all the way from Westin to Mulia Resort along the beach side. Now because I love all the restaurants Mulia has to offer except for its hefty room rates, I will stay in Ayodya Hotel and walk alongside the beach route and it should lead me to Mulia the shortest distance rather than following Google Maps which asked me to walk past half finished Shangarila Project.
I love this idea. The walk is scenic and beautiful. I hope your trip is fantastic❤️
I worked at the water tower place from 2021-2023 at the Lego Store. In my opinion, I think the mall is in its last legs. After the pandemic WTP lost a lot of stores including the food life area on the first floor. The mall does get packed during the weekend and during the summer, but most people usually shop at the American girl doll place the Lego store or the adidas store. Other than that, most other stores in the mall area pretty empty. The biggest issue that this mall has is the lack of stores that they have compared to other places in the suburbs. There is no bookstores or other popular stores that other places would have like (GameStop, Hot Topic/Spencer's/ Kohls/JCPenney/ Macys/Victoria's Secret). If you go to the 4th-7th floors you will see a lot of vacant stores that are not being used it's honestly sad to see how the water tower place is now.
I couldn't agree more! I hope something is done to save this iconic mall. I was really shocked to see the vacancies on the higher floors. So many empty spaces. I'd love to return and find it full of life again❤
thank you! going next year
Have a great trip❤️
How do you get around bali coming from Alaya resort? Can you just hail a taxi outside the hotel?
Taxis are everywhere, but depending on where you're going, you may want to book it with the concierge if it's a distance. There is a lot to see within walking distance as well. I went to the water temple and booked a taxi the day before.
This place is so fun! I love Starbucks but when I go to Lighthouse I make a special trip across the street to Lakeshore Coffee. Thank you for posting this wonderful video 😊
The North Face store alone is worth a trip!
I've been wondering about those "War Rations". I don't smoke, but I always wanted to stockpile cigarettes in case the U.S. Dollar finally crashes. I noticed ppl who do raw physical labor and will be the most helpful smoke like chimneys. I really don't drink anymore, but stockpiling booze would eventually get tempting.
We had a crew taking a dead tree down next door and you're right, most of them had a lung bomb hanging out of their mouth while they worked. But what about vapes? They've got such a strong hold on the younger generation. I don't know any kids who smoke, but plenty who vape. They vape walking down the hall at school and don't get caught.
@JuliaLives1111 Most of my friends don't smoke. But the ones I worked with during a time when they couldn't go outside to have a smoking break, all it showed me was that smoking just gives you a permanent caffeine withdrawal. May as well have coffee instead of a cigarette. But alcohol took you to Oz! Especially when you looked at your Rum bottle and wonder where it all went. Pirates are a VERY VERY bad influence btw.
@JuliaLives1111 Vaping is crazy! Like drink and smoking had a child! Then there are our modern Prohibition games with marijuanas where some people can get accidentally shot by the cops over it and others buy their way into our modern "Speakeasy" and the law looks the other way
@@anthonyruby2668 I don't think I know anyone who still smokes. Most of the ppl I knew still smoking tried to hide it. I lived next door to somebody for 10 years and didn't know they smoked until I walked past a canning jar full of butts in their garage and they sheepishly admitted they were a "closet smoker." I visited my son at his college frat house a few years ago on Easter and there was a half a fifth of grape MD20/20 in the living room. That will get you!
@JuliaLives1111 I know! Right? A smoker friend said either you are a smoker or you are not. Even used the term "Closet Smoker." I know there are AA and people addicted to booze, but for a lot of people, drinking gets easier to quit when the euphoria to hangover ratio levels out and drinking is no longer worth it. But being a history buff, I'd be like, "I'm a pirate" (Rum). Or "Today I am Caesar" (Wine). Got to have wine with your caeser salad and Little Caesars pizza! Deep dish pizza to really add to the BREAD and Circuses!
I have been wondering about these for some time. Thanks for sharing.
I was editing my fifth box and noticed the price is now $95 for 6 meals. However, I have started accruing "rewards" with each box. For $95, I received $10 off of an add-on and a free wellness juice in addition to my box. I ordered chicken wings for the add-on and they ended up costing me $2.95.
@@JuliaLives1111 I'm assuming US dollars? I'm Canadian.
@@joedolenza7944 Yes, that's U.S. dollars. When I first tried to order, Google sent me to the Canadian site. I didn't realize it until I was typing in my address and didn't have an option for the state where I live. Factor must be popular in Canada, too!
Great video! Thank you and chair hogs are real!!!! I don’t understand why people claim chairs when they aren’t even using it. Makes me always question how they are when not on vacation.
Good point! I can only imagine what they're like when the pressure's on.
The name of the beach is not Long Beach. Long Beach is a town on the other side of Gulfport. Biloxi is on one side and Long Beach is on the other side.
WOW! I have not been to Gulfport, Mississippi in years. I will be looking forward to going to that waterpark if I ever visit there again.
My first trip to Louisiana will be next month. Even though I'll be staying in the Bogue Chitto State Park I plan on spending a day in New Orleans. I never had any desire to visit but I'm hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised.
The architecture is beautiful and there is a lot of interesting history. Jackson Square was empty when I was there, but there's probably some activity again by now. I hope you have the best time!
Avoid cabs. They will rip you off big time. Plus Tulum is not worth it really. Everything way overpriced no infrastructure. Pollution and dirt from rail construction.
Tulum became popular the last couple of years. I'm not sure why. I enjoyed visiting, but I see your point:)
Some Americans have just died in a hotel. Others have been robbed at gun point. Be careful.
Wow! Thank you for the information.
Nice view from the room. Sure beats the view of the interstate and that trucker who seems to put on his jake brakes every time he passes a hotel
Yes, the view really brings it all home. I stayed at a hotel off the interstate in Arkansas. It was full of truck drivers. Something about a door from the outside leading directly into the room causes me to not feel completely safe.
@JuliaLives1111 I never really understood RV culture. No wonder how well you take care of it. By the time it gets to the break-even point of a hotel, the RV has to be like a Motel 6 room. (Probably the private jet feel of the passengers Probably make it worth it)
@JuliaLives1111 You can always tell the ones who love camping are the ones who don't get bit up to badly. If i went to war at any time in the past, i would have so died of malaria for sure from all my bites. Shoot! Not even! I'd probably get malaria by living a peaceful civilian life! That is if all the other Oregon Trail diseases didn't get me first.
@@anthonyruby2668 You're a Chicago native. Who gets bug bites in Chicago? Is West Nile a problem there?
@JuliaLives1111 forgot about West nile. Guess covid rose the bar on if you have to worry about a germ or not
Have you ever seen that Married With Children Eposide, where Al takes a vacation for a week, but he just ropes off the couch and has a sigh saying he is in Paris or wherever. Now, with TH-cam, you can travel the world by sitting on the couch. True Airchair traveler!
No, but that's hilarious and true! I can get lost in TH-cam travel videos.
@JuliaLives1111 i mostly revisit places i been to on TH-cam. Got to save some things for going there live and in person. I do love those interstate off ramp photos that illustrate that it can be anywhere between sault ste marie and miami or between Boston and Barstow CA.
@@anthonyruby2668 I used to rely on Tripadvisor to plan vacations, but TH-cam is a great resource. Back in the '90's I used to get Apple Vacation brochures and planned everything out through a catalog. Things sure have evolved!
@JuliaLives1111 Don't forger AAA! LoL, they still around? You can get AAA services though insurance and travel through the net
@@anthonyruby2668 Yeah, they're still around. I'm not sure what the competitive edge would be. Towing is available on most auto insurance, if you don't mind risking the rates being increased if you ever need it.
Catching up with my TH-cam watch list! Wasn't that Dyson vacuums that had that guy with the European accent do the commercials? The blurry accent where you can't tell where he is from? Now Bavarian and English accents, those accents stick out! (We always say british accent, but always forget about how the Scottish accent is on Britain to)
Yes, that's him! They also make hairdryers and hand dryers for commercial settings. They say their vacuums never lose suction, but my old one did. I remember growing up with a vacuum with a belt that would burn and the whole house would smell like burning rubber!
@JuliaLives1111 i remember another vaccum commercial blitz with a middle-aged man and his "daughter" (or woman playing his daughter). Highlight where he stood under his vacuum holding a bowling ball. Wasn't that Oreck?
@JuliaLives1111 i love watching balloons in a vaccum chamber! It is the opposite would cause the balloon is expanding due to losing air and the material is expanding to fill the vacuum
@@anthonyruby2668 But what was the purpose of the bowling ball?
@@anthonyruby2668 I don't think I've had a balloon in a vacuum chamber. I went straight from a bag to a Dyson. I'm always shocked by the dirt that's coming out of the carpet in my house.
Thank you for the review!! I’m taking my sister here for her 18th bday in July and was wanting to add the IG tour to the list
You're a fantastic sister! The IG tour is a great way to take in the beauty of Bali❤
I booked this hotel (room with terrace) last night for end of March holiday. I’m really looking forward to it!
Have the best time! It's so fantastic❤
@@JuliaLives1111 thank you 😀
You had a really nice video going, until you put down “walking through that muck.” Really? In 2021, you can’t understand that that is a natural ecosystem that supports many local plants and animals? And that we are the guests? You seem intelligent and well-intentioned. Please be careful and selective with you words when describing these treasured places.
Thank you for the response. Agreed! Unfortunately, human interaction, particularly pollution, creates the destruction of ecosystems. You raise a better point regarding the protection of ecosystems.
Looks like a dead mall not any stores that really would drag people in like TJ Maxx, Pink, Target Lush, or Nike Bulid a bear or arcades for the kids like in our malls in Iowa. No book stores either the movie theater and bath and body works are probably the only things I would go to. Not that many food options either.
It's definitely changed since the last time I was there. I was shocked. I don't think it's ever had a book store. The closest one was blocks away.
Does bloomingdales still have bedding deot?
Yes, they still carry bedding at this location.
900 no michigan shops
Now we know the tea about what happened at the hyatt
After all this bad press, more travelers than ever were flocking to Tulum. Guess they wanted to see for themselves:)
I visited Bali back in August '16 and stayed in Nusa Dua. I must say the weather in August was phenomenal. The temperature averaged 85 degrees, with very low humidity and no rain. 😊Nusa Dua is supposedly one of the higher-end and quieter (boring) areas of Bali. Which wasn't an issue for me given that I don't like being around drunk party animals all day/night. 🥳 Also, taking a taxi to main/livelier areas such as Kuta, et cetera is inexpensive and typically a 10-20 minute drive from Nusa Dua depending on time of day/traffic. 😊 I really need incorporate Bali into one of my future summer trips to SE Asia. I just really prefer SE Asia trips during USA winter months. 💯
Nusa Dua was great after staying in Ubud for three days. I took.a taxi to Sanur and really appreciated the tranquility and walkability of Nusa Dua. I also don't like resorts full of black out drinkers, so this was perfect.
Do not accept the price demanded by the traffic warden .Exorbitant! Taxis will pick you up from the roadside .
Nope
I bet the Patriotic holidays of the Yooks and the Zooks were WAY WAY more irritating to the Grinch than the Who's Christmas. But since those maniacs were willing to nuke each other over butter, there is NO WAY the Grinch was stealing their Patriotic holiday!
Hi Anthony! Nice to see you over here. At first glance I thought this comment was on the Water Tower Place and I was trying to make the connection. I’m tracking now😂
@JuliaLives1111 lost track on the Water Tower conversion. Busy week, but I caught up on my Christmas duties. Speaking of Christmas, good excuse to talk about Chinese food! I never understood when people say you eat Chinese food, you are hungry 20 minutes later. What are they eating!?! I had my orange chicken and lo mein HOURS ago, and I am still not hungry.
@@anthonyruby2668 Or is that one of the greatest marketing schemes of our time? If we're convinced we'll be hungry shortly after eating, we will need to buy massive quantities of crab rangoons and pot stickers for "later."
@JuliaLives1111 exactly! When i did finally get hungry, i had V8 juice and pretzels. To me, V8 was the only drink that could be substituted for a meal. Maybe only when i walked to the mall, a smoothy could be my lunch. Protein shakes were a joke to me. I'd drink one and be like, "Okay! The real meal comes next, right? " I think Protein gets way too much credit when you eat eggs or real meat and you feel very energized later. I think fats and other nutrients play a role as well
@JuliaLives1111 catching up with the Christmas tradition of watching "Santa Claus is coming to town". That probably had to be the most relevant and relatable of all the stop motivation animation specials. Everyone with a German heritage can relate to having a relative like the Burger Meister, who probably had a few more distant relatives who started the World Wars. But also have a loving relative like Nana Claus to balance the family out. But im sure it is universal for all backgrounds as well.
Thanks for sharing, very helpful... definitely considering the psychic reading while shopping as well lol.
Seems like the perfect location for a psychic reading:)
I always wondered why people made a big deal about anchor stores. To me, they were glorified entrances I walked through to get to the REAL mall
Love this! I used to routinely park at the Sears entrance because parking was a breeze.
@JuliaLives1111 i know! Right? The anchor stores are like flies to a light, so I give anchor stores that. I always felt like a hobo going in the side entrances. Sears did sell essential goods, though. And it will be the SEARS Tower to my dying breath and the entire U.S. 41 is Lake Shore Drive to me
@@anthonyruby2668 Agreed! And why was Garrett so much better when it was less accessible? Now that I can get it without standing in line for an hour, I don't touch the stuff.
@JuliaLives1111 The Water Tower Plaza was my first movie at the movie theatre. Disney's Snow White, i think it was. Saw Land Before Time there to. We all briefly thought they were done with the Sharp Tooth for good. Then you kick yourself when you remember they are an entire species

Some of them may have taken Uber/taxi from the airport and had to cart their luggage. I would not feel comfortable leaving luggage in the parking garage. There is a lot Rolf traffic, but theft still occurs😞

Cool ...
What are some excursions you would recommend for Madrid and Barcelona? We will be there in two months :)
You can cover a lot of ground on a tuk-tuk or rickshaw tour. I'd definitely recommend either. I have videos about the tours and also the Flamenco show in Madrid. The rickshaws and tuk-tuks are all over Barcelona. We booked in advance and had them pick us up at the hotel, but you could easily find a rickshaw in the tourist areas of Barcelona. In Madrid, I'd get tickets to the Royal Palace online, take in some shopping, a flamenco show and do the Tuk-Tuk. In Barcelona, my favorite stop was Ciutadella Park. We also went to Barceloneta and Las Ramblas. I wish we would have spent some time on Passeig de Gracia shopping. We bought tickets to Sagrada Familia online, which was great because we walked right in. Have the BEST trip!
