I am an Inte Miami fan. If I could make a case for this tournament being unfair, I would happily use it to console myself. We had far superior talent, and we had two home games. We need to be better. I blame Tata.

I’d go to conferenceless format, top 12 teams get in, 5-12 have a single game play in. Quarters and Semis aggregate knockout; MLS Cup winner take all. In other words, a pretty close match of the 2017 format.

The format isn’t very entertaining, and it drags too long. That said it’s entertaining to see Miami complaining when they got favoritism to get in the Club World Cup.

Club had probably our worst season to date, and I hope that a good playoff run doesn’t give us too short term a memory. That being said, we have 2 open DP spots and a lot of money to rebuild with what we know is already a good core. IMO there are about 6-7 players that deserve to start regardless of new incoming transfers being Gregersen, Amador, Muyumba, Xande Silva, Miranchuk, and Saba, the rest could serve as strong squad rotation options if we bring in a better name. We need to move on from Brad for sure (love his heroics but he costs us far too many goals from bad unnecessary errors), and Brooks Lennon isn’t good enough to be our starting rb. Apart from that, we have pretty decent depth in the squad.

I watched the whole 3 games of Inter Miami and there was a lot of calls the referee didn’t make that could’ve changed the games.
