Harvesting sea-buckthorn berries.
มุมมอง 102 หลายเดือนก่อน
My Hippophae rhamnoides, also known as sea-buckthorn was planted in my yard two years ago and in its second year I have been blessed with berries! These berries are very high in vitamin C as well as other vitamins and minerals. Seeds, cuttings and plant starts occasionally find their way into my store. giardinogrowers.etsy.com

We had a storm pop up, and I recorded a little bit of it. The #thunder & #lightning lightning was quite pronounced, and the sound of the rain was very relaxing.

    Mr Handle Thank You for bringing the Messiah to the world. WHen it was played for I believe George III when the H Chorus was played the KING STOOD UP. Did he do it as respect for GOD Almighty, or was he tired of sitting for so long. Does not matter even now people still stand for the HC as we should as this is perhaps the greatest of PRAISE to OUR CREATOR and OUR LORD KING OF KINGS LORD OF LORD and HIS KINGDOM SHALL NOT PERISH from this earth. Pray folks that HE hears our prayers and saves us from the evil men and women who rule the USA and the rest of the world. Paxn+

    I was with a choir that sang this at the end of our performance. This was a dream come true, and it was so powerful that I fainted when the curtain came down. Now everytime I hear this,it reminds of that night.❤‍🔥❤‍🔥💖💖🔥🔥✝✝

    I adore magpies and when we lived in Alberta, we had a Parliament of (on average) seven birds that we fed in the winter. They're so full of fun. Each with their own personality. We miss them a lot. Thanks for sharing this. Who says gardens are only nice in the summer?!

    Things look good. That cold to hot to cold weather is tough to grow in. I like how you’ve put the fabric pots in the ground for your herbs. Do the roots come through the pot when they are sunk in the ground?

    • @mio.giardino
      @mio.giardino 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, sorry for the extremely late reply. Those aren’t fabric pots but plastic ones. I haven’t checked them for the extent of the root growth but I will be this spring when I’m doing my clean out.

      Hi, apologies for the late reply. I bought it online, Gardner’s Supply? and the shipping was awful. I did see it, I think something similar on the Lee Vally site but it only comes 50’ long lengths.

    • @mio.giardino
      @mio.giardino 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A little dirt never hurt The loofas, 3/4 dead and the one that’s left is growing painfully slow. I think it’s not getting nearly enough sunlight as it needs.

    You must have a grow room or some well placed windows!! Love a fresh tomato at Christmas. I have a batch of egg shells to grind up for this years use :)

    • @mio.giardino
      @mio.giardino 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A little dirt never hurt I have only East & west facing windows sadly an the plants in them have supplemental grow lights to help out during the shorter or cloudy days. It turns out that the bottom part of my blender, the threading, fits a mason jar! I scrunch up a bunch of shells in the mason jar, thread the blade part of the blender on to it, invert it on to the blender and instant powder egg shells. I'll need to pop up a video of it eventually 😉😉
