What do you do in the summer / hockey offseason?
@@Max.Silverman hockey doesn’t really end to be honest lol. There’s ball & roller hockey in the spring/summer, tournament teams for ice hockey, and I work with a lot of hockey trainers filming summer camps
Did you ask chat gpt about the pros and cons of full time vs contactors? Morgan SEO is another TH-camr who had this same predicament
@@Max.Silverman I’ll check him Out thanks man, and yeah I’ve definitely had some deep chats with gpt about this🤣 main thing holding me back from bringing people full time is my confidence in them personally. One or two have the right character traits and just need some training, so it’s probably worth it putting effort into them
Such a waste of time and energy to dwell on the politics. (the outcomes do matter though). Taxation, regulation, inflation, etc affects your livelihood for better or worse. Staying agnostic as a business is smart. You are wise.
@@Impossiblypossibleinsights i definitely agree certain things matter for better or worse. I moreso meant focus on what you can focus on, because the reality of who’s in office is reality regardless of your inputs/outputs 💯

Need to qualify. Can Use a VA to qualify
@@Impossiblypossibleinsights honestly that’s not the main issue, obviously some leads are unqualified but I still have too many qualified ones to even deal with lol
@@jack_smalley raise your prices!
Do you think if you add a person temporarily to help you with the leads, and he continues the sustain the inbound that is growing, are you able to keep him permanently even if you aren't able to cover the cost of him working. Would you take that risk, for potential growth to the next step of the number of loyal customers. you said cut the cost and all. Do you think taking the risk to add another person because getting customers isn't an issue and you have too many, and you don't want to lose them, would be worth the busy season coming up I do understand cutting cost down to prioritize your customers right now and limit leads. How does this affect growth?
@@QuinGordonn lowkey yeah
@ Yea I was thinking, why waste this opportunities to grow when it’s right in front of you. All you gotta do is make the right decisions
@@QuinGordonn you’re not wrong. I just need to make sure I have the infrastructure to handle all the demand, this weekend alone I have 7 shoots other people are handling. My biggest concern is letting the customer experience slip from getting too busy

Another way to find out if someone is trustworthy: The $100 test.
@@Impossiblypossibleinsights never heard of that somehow lol, what is it
@@jack_smalley You find out a lot about people if $100 is involved. Ex. You buy them a ticket to a concert/show/event/ dinner/ flight/ etc and they say they will pay you back. $20 nbd.. $100 is the dollar amount where people will show their true colors. Or even if you have 100$ bill in an obvious place to you and you don't pay much attention to it. People will steal $100. Those are not your friends. Other scenarios will present themselves soon and you'll know to cut people out right away. It's not intended to be a trap.. but you are aware that you may lose the 100$ and it doesn't matter. You expect people to be good and righteous until proven wrong.
Wow congrats u figured out life
@@MB-pr1jy definitely never claimed to have it all figured out haha. Just something I have personally observed & thought it would be valuable to share

Some people hate themselves others think their shit doesn’t stink, just gotta keep you right and that’s it whatever anyone else thinks is irrelevant, that’s my opinion anyway
@@Apolly0 extremely valid opinion
You’re right, words don’t have much impact as much as actions do in terms of attaining goals and moving the needle. BUT, when you use words by lying or not keeping your word, there’s negative impact.
No shit
@@darkhorse99900 this could be a great video summary lol. Well said, exactly what I was trying to get across. Kind of touched on both

Did any of the sales advice help to make a difference? Advices (Arnold voice) on setting expectations for clients: Under promise and over deliver. Now that you have more clients. Change expectations. Tell them 2 weeks. Deliver in a week and half (even if it takes you 3 days). (You most likely already do this). Set expectations EARLY and OFTEN. I'm sure part of the SOPs you are creating incorporate this in the form of proposals, emails, etc.
@@Impossiblypossibleinsights absolutely under promise, definitely would be a good idea to lower my promises though. Have had a few issues with setting expectations & miscommunicating with clients, so have to nail down a cookie cutter way. As far as sales advice definitely🙌 been implementing a few of the tricks, working well. Just closed a deal before I opened these comments lol
@@jack_smalley You EARNED IT!
it's extremely tough to find good video editors. Try your High school you graduated from. or ask around to the HS level hockey players. Hockey filming and editing is tough. Lots of movement, deciding when and where to focus, (potentially more than 1 angle). Finding a young an ambitious sophomore hockey player that you can train, coach, and pay (incrementally more over time to retain them) may be the best option. They won't have an editing style and may end up doing it better and coming up with new ideas to improve your process.
@@Impossiblypossibleinsights definitely agree that going for younger talent is a good idea. The constraint with that is often the kids are student athletes, so they already have a specific schedule etc
I get what you mean bro
@@Trey12392 the unfortunate reality

Do yourself a favor, go sign up to ref games. Registration opens every year in June. I can tell you have never been an official in any sport, it shows in your statements. Yes parents suck I can agree with you there. If this is a low level game, there is a very good chance that the officiating association in the area uses those games for training newer officials. The officials, oddly enough, are not watching the puck, so there is a chance the puck hits the netting and they don't see it. They are watching the players as that is where the majority of stupid happens. I will also agree with you that these games should be about fun since the players are not all that great. It takes a long time to be proficient at playing or officiating the game and we are always learning. If the officials are going to make mistakes, this where they need to make them. These are meaningless games and are a good place to hone the art of officiating....
Personalize, connect, and keep planting those seeds. Don't be afraid to ask for the sale. Amen on not being desperate. Referrals and Testimonials is going to help even more. Your best and happiest customers can be your best "sales people". (A pro tip you may already know: Send a text with your name to the prospect before calling. If they have an iphone their caller ID will say your name with a "?" - They will be more likely to pick up if they see a name.
@@Impossiblypossibleinsights always dropping knowledge in the comments. That call trick is a good one, I normally call first then follow up with a text. Might switch that around
@@jack_smalley It 100% works. Another cadence: 1) TEXT (name, Common connection or personalization, business, Solution, CTA) 2) Call (use format already provided; 3) EMAIL (don't say "follow up" "checking in" - They need to talk to you they just dont know it yet. "If I don't hear back from you I will be giving you another call !!" (can state when you will call them - time, date etc THEN SCHEDULE AND DO IT) Pro tip: DOUBLE TAP on step 2. (call) call 2 times in a row if they dont answer right away then leave VM One method for VM: short "Vague" "mysterious" voicemail. "Hey its jack, call me back its about (Insert Problem) leave cell number twice.
Cold Call Method: initial answer - I'm Jack & I (specialize with {group/industry of prospect} state a common Issue other companies are facing. (hook) - That should be very short. You can move credibility piece after the "i see this issue" etc "this is what I do" Solution: How you are solving that problem. Case study- what you did and how it benefited them and how you can do the same for them (FINANCIAL IMPACT $ and TIME). Ask for the meeting/sale. If they object- Acknowledge/ understand then case study again ( I had a client I worked with recently who said the same thing CASE STUDY $$/ time and how you will solve.. Ask for the meeting/close. Don't be afraid to humanize it.
