Emlyn Hughes rare footage in conversation at the AWD Truck launch in September 1988.
Absolute icon
I ama Manc but would have loved emlyn to pay for city. Great player great leader great man.
"...and I'm not getting a penny for saying this!"
by far my favourite Liverpool player. Dalglish was the greatest but Hughes was the bright light that kept everyone positive. Great captain.
❤❤❤ rip
Emlyn crazy horse a Liverpool legend one of the sll time greats forever in our hearts an unbelievable footballer ❤️❤️
The show is good, if only it wasn’t for the pervert
Squeaky voiced little shit,up the fuckin toffees justice for the heysel 39
I loved Emlyn Hughes he epitomised Liverpool was so enthusiastic a Liverpool great YNWA
AWD trucks went down the pan shortly afterwards.
Shankly would have loved Milly too, YNWA, Emlyn RIP
it's bad to tell nasty things about people who passed away
it's bad to tell nasty things about people who passed away
Great player class guy full of fun
my new friend I like...#11 support me back please
Betrayed the people of Liverpool he always thought of No 1 . He adored Thatcher and was right up the royal families arse . He was everything Shankly would have hated and that being a die hard Tory
But as a footballer one of Liverpool's finest
Tommy Smith hated Hughes. But still stayed professional .true legends r.i.p.
Why did smith hate Hughes & how do you know??
@@leeforrester6805 Because he took his place.
Hate is a strong word
@@Dante-vf4sd Phil Neal took Tommy Smith's place and later Joey Jones did also. Take it from me as it is very well documented from that time and later in books that they really really disliked one another and never ever socialised - only at the end of near every season when we won trophies
@@mcharrisment4765 It was Hughes not Phil Neil, and I must reiterate that hate is a strong word, dislike, fair enough
I watched Hughes play for Blackpool against Liverpool at anfield .liverpool signed him .he gave everything to liverpool. R.I.P.
4 years later the company collapsed, making 500 redundant and owing £20m... That's corporate launches...
I was just thinking they must have, as I'd never heard of them.
1966/67? That would have made Trevor Francis 12 or 13 years old. That's precocious. Actually it's miraculous. Francis joined Birmingham in 1971. Still, never let the truth get in the way of a good yarn.
Lloyd played for Liverpool 69-74, Francis for Birmingham 70-78, So Hughes was out a few years, big deal. :)
@@mafiosol_buenavida That actually is a big deal... How many other stories were inaccurate
I caught that too. Hughes only signed in 67, and Lloyd not till 69 and only a regular after Yeats left in 71. Francis wasn't a regular till 73 at Brum. He was fast though. Hughes got that right.
I met the man twice and we had a chat and a laff. Sadly no longer with us. A big loss to football and Question of Sport. Never forgotten. RIP Emlyn.
he sounded as idiotic as trump now a days.
Emilyn wasn't running for president. The stories he could have told us in life. Bigger than life; larger in our memories.
Dosen't sound like he's trying to sound scouse to me , giamaria , crazy horse was great player and enthusiastic , gave his all every match , also funny guy , must have been good influence in changing room
he's not scouse... he's Welsh
@@mwdyceffylgwaithHe's from Cumbria (Barrow-in-Furness) which is exactly how he sounds
He's from Barrow in Furness, that's what we sound like in Barrow !
Molby had more of a scouse accent, and he's not from Liverpool either. Hughes was from Cumbria and his dad was a pro rugby player.
Good advice.
Emlyn Hughes desperately trying to sound Scouse rather than Cumbrian, as usual.
+Gianmaria Framarin Another envious Evertonian who is success starved
1) I'm Rangers. 2) Definitely better blue than red. 3) You Kopites seem to be missing a league title since................................. come on, it was only three years after the toffees, don't you remember? I remember you used to win quite a lot back then, almost every year, then Maggie Thatcher decided it was over for a lot of us people up north and shut the door down. As far as I'm concerned, you suffered the worst consequences of it all.
Oops: I despise people who try and sound what they're not, just because that would make them more popular in front of their new crowd. It's a bit like... Tony Blair desperately trying to sound Cockney back in them 'guid auld days' when Labour started its course towards destruction, ff's.
+Gianmaria Framarin Don't let it get to you
@@220773 League title 2020 on its way. After another European Cup in 2019. Either way, Emlyn doesn't sound scouse at all here, and nor is he trying to. He sounds like a genuine woolyback, which is exactly what he was! (Honorary scouser of course)
Emlyn Hughes talking through his arse, as usual.
+Stuart S You sound like a bitter blue nose whose team won nothing in all the years Emlyn lifted European Cups as well as everything else go back to the hole you crawled out of Liverpool will always be top on Merseyside envious git
bitter give him a second pint of blue nose bitter drink
