Alaska Cut the Cord
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 6 ก.ค. 2021
We are just a normal couple that got tired of life on the hamster wheel and decided that there was a lot more to life than work and paying bills. We choose beautiful Willow Alaska for our home base. From here we will be exploring this amazing state while doing the things we love and choosing to make ourselves better in the process. There are a lot of things we've always wanted to do and didn't want end life talking about the things we wish that we'd done, instead we'd choose "now" to do them. So, please follow along with our adventure in Alaska and see what our future holds in store for us. For tomorrow isn't promised, you only have today.
Come join us out here!

It only took me 3 years to watch this, but now I have!!!
Hope you enjoyed!
@alaskacutthecord769 always a joy!!
Hate that I missed the live….the hurricane kinda got in the way. Did get to see it after the fact though. And oh yeah, I have one of those magic coffee tables too! 😆
Hurricanes have been pretty aweful lately. Ah, the magic coffee table, mine isn't working this week at all!
Hi from John and Brenda we live in Arkansas
Hello from Alaska! Hope all is well with you. We had our first snow today.
Lol @ the magic coffee table
Apparently not too many people have seen that video? You got it though, awesome!
I saw something a while ago...funny and frustrating. Lol. But oddly enough I've referred to myself as the "magical fairy" for years. Poof it's magically done because I do it. 🤯
Sorry i missed your live. I was glued on Ryan Hall's youtube livestream of the hurricane. My mom is in St Pete's and I've been very worried. Hope you're well!
No problem.
Soz couldn't make it was working today. Will try catch reply bit by bit. Time is limited these next few weeks.
Thanks for the comment missed you tonight. Will catch up soon. Have a good week!
@alaskacutthecord769 thanks mate cheers
Good to see you again. Been a little while. Do you still have your Tenere? Ready for winter. Here it comes
It has been a bit. Understandable, life gets in the way here a lot lately. Nope, I sold it and purchased a newere snowmobile. More fitting for the state of Alaska. You are right. Winter is almost here. Getting prepared as we speak.
Greetings dear Adam I got worried by the title but glad to know Phyllis is well and fine. Our prayers for your mom in-law. God bless.❤
Thank you so much! Life is a little challenging here lately. We will get thru. Thank you for your well wishes!
So strange, I left a comment on another channel and it showed up here. I would delete this but I want to make sure you see my reply below. Really odd!
Not sure what you're talking about. I actually appreciate criticism as long as it's going in a productive direction. More people need to hear it in my opinion.
@@alaskacutthecord769 Whoa! That was strange. I left that comment on a completely different channel about camera reviews. So strange that it went here. Man, that’s wild. I ABSOLUTELY was not saying this to you!!
@@alaskacutthecord769 - Just so we’re clear, you’re awesome! :)
Thanks Scott! No worries here.
Always a great live stream! Good to see you Adam! Thinking of you Phyllis! ❤
Thank you guys for being there. You are awesome!
@@alaskacutthecord769 Ditto!
How long did it take you to freeze-dry both the raw and the cooked?
The time was relatively close. Around ten to twelve hours.
What a pleasant noise. 😱
It's a little loud but to have such a thing offgrid is really worth it.
Looked like a great day of fishing
It was a lot of fun. Looking forward to next year already.
Wow! This might be a dumb question but do you ever see deer or is all moose out there?
It's not a dumb question. We don't have deer on the mainland only on some of the islands like Montegue or Kodiak. I questioned it too when I moved here cause it seems like perfect habitat for deer. However, the 20' of snow that we get some years would wipe them out. There are caribou but they have adapted to walking on top of the snow and can survive it.
@@alaskacutthecord769 good to know! Thank you! Im currently binging your videos and enjoying every minute! :-)
WOW that's a lot of mud! Great footage out there on the trail. So happy you guys made it through! 👏
It was tough going for sure. Not sure that I really want to do that again. Pretty risky business.
Adventure time! Nice haul you guys. 😊
It's been a summer of adventures this year. I'm exhausted.
Lookes like a fun relaxing day of fishing.... didn't appear to be much room for error in that tunnel....
Bout a foot either side. Sketchy for sure.
Another awesome adventure thanks for bringing us along, beautiful scenery, day , people and fish
Thank you. That's why we love it here!
Wow, nice catch.
Thank you. What a great year!
Nice haul! Those ling could swallow a basketball!
The biggest one I caught that day was 47". Holy cow! They get huge.
I remember that tunnel! This was another epic adventure. You have had one heck of a year. Congrats on the nice catches.
I know right. Looking forward to winter just to catch up on sleep.
Good looking fish ! 😁👍
Thanks Paul. The amount of fun we've had this summer has been crazy!
Woo hoo! ❤❤❤. All my favorite fish!!!
Awesome! We think alike.
Jason said just for the halibut and it of course went over my head. Haha! 😃 Thanks for sharing your beautiful day! ✌️🇨🇦🇺🇲❤
I just might get along with him! Don't feel bad that's quite the common joke around these parts! Have a great weekend.
@@alaskacutthecord769 lol absolutely! Cheers!
Great fishing and beautiful scenery!
Thank you, it sure was fun.
Nice fish!
Thanks Scott. See what you have to look forward to?
@@alaskacutthecord769 Oh, believe me. We’re counting days…
Beautiful sharing. I would be so afraid of that train tunnel. Now those are what I call good catch. Nicely done.👍👍👍
Thank you. The tunnel always scares me too but it's all worth it!
Nice fishing location and good fishin 😀
Thanks Brun! We found a real hot spot.
Nice catch! I've been out that way, might be worth asking on a spring bear hunt. (just saying) They have the right tools.
Thank you. It's great out there. Let me know.
What an awesome trip . Thanks for sharing .
Alaska seems to be full of things like this. Glad you enjoyed!
What an awesome fishing trip! We love halibut! Haven't gotten to try rock fish yet but have heard it's amazing. Great video! ❤
Thank you so much. Halibut is great but Rockfish is even better. At least fresh out of the ocean it is. Maybe next time you're up here we'll have to go out and get some🤔
Hi Adam and Phyllis! Great adventure right there! Congrats on all the fish! Filling the freezer for winter! Happy dance! Hope you two have a great weekend! ❤
Howdy Paula and Jason! Thanks for watching. We didn't do worth a darn on the moose so we've got to put something in the freezer🥶
Nice catch! Oh that tunnel tho, it looked really narrow.
Thanks and yes that tunnel is narrow. Keeping your eyes on the road is easy through that.
Awesome day of fishing ! Great job !
Thank you. Filling the freezer!
Love halibut!! Great trip !
We you get moved up here we'll have to take a trip!
@@alaskacutthecord769 that would be awesome!!
That tunnel!!!Wow!!
Yaaaa No thanks
It's not that bad.
I always feel like they do this on purpose lol. It's a nana nana boo boo moment! 🤣
Got his track shoes on!!!
That guy was movin for sure!
I think the animals have calendars in their "house" with dates to stay home.
Agreed. It always happens this way.
They know season is over...😂😂
I swear it's true!
Thats very cool! 🎉
It was very exciting. Wish he would've kept running along the road.
Cool
I know, we loved it!
@@alaskacutthecord769 as long as it didn’t take a hard right , right into your truck
3 days….murphys law
So true. I think fish and game tell the animals when they can come out!
After the season closes...."of course" !
That's usually when I see the most. The day before season and the day after
That was awesome!!
Very exciting!
We definitely want to make it all the way out to do this drive someday. We'll invest in a toy hauler so we can bring our ATVs and explore everything! A dream of ours for sure. ❤✌️🇨🇦🇺🇸
Well that's just awesome! Some much to see up here. Just got back from a lodge on the Denali Hwy. The views were spectacular.
Like #104, Full watch. Thanks for sharing. Looks like an adventure
It certainly is. Can't wait to do it again.
@@alaskacutthecord769 i was up in Alaska many years ago while I was in the United States Marine Corps. I was apart of a group that moved a village from one side of a river to the other. It took 3 summers to do it I guess. I was only apart of the planning of the endeavor. We flew out of Bethal by way of Blackhawk helicopter out to the remote village that was to be moved. Very remote but was awesome.
Wow! That sounds awesome. I would've loved to be part of something like that.
Awesome, haven't seen a switch like that in forever it seems. ❤
Happy birthday! 🎉
It was all Phyllis's idea. A good one at that!
Thank you so muchj😊
