In the Summer of 2019, we were surprised by our neighbors, that offered to sell us their lower property terrace. We jumped at the opportunity! The slope of the property really made it make sense that the lower section fit better with our property than being mostly out of sight from our neighbors.
From mid summer, till the end of 2019, we were all very busy with the complex transaction. We had a survey team come in and do a detailed boundary line adjustment (BLA) map and legal description documents. Submitted to City Edmonds, and subsequently Snohomish County. Everything was approved, although it took a long time!
Once everything was legally complete by the end of the year 2019.. then ground breaking started to transition the property from being our neighbors Lower Terrace to our Upper Terrace. This video depicts the transition / transformation of the approximate 2500 square feet of land.
This project was what filled our time during the 2020 COVID-19 Stay-at-home period.
