👍👍👍
Great classic tunes, brilliantly played!
These are classics, like Lord Alexander Kennedy and Arniston Castle, and will never stop being played
A great set of march, strathspey and reel
GHB for the win! They are all great though. Nice comparison.
Gracias amigos...es un tema espectacular....Gracias por compartir.....son geniales
I remember Highland Wedding well, as a learner back in 1980 with the City of Melbourne Pipe Band. They were all learning it and trying to get it right. In the 40 years after, with all the bands I was in, I never played it. It's a nice 4 part 2/4, the only thing I would say is whenever I hear it, I wish they would bring the tempo down a bit.
No skills in acknoweledging the applause, like fish out of water.
There’s plenty of skills in the faster and faster exercises, for that’s all you seem to hear nowadays, but no tune. When you’ve heard one set of exercises, you’ve heard them all. Really boring really quickly.
You missed the point entirely. Read it again. @@jazzman1626
And here, this guy is just plain rude 😴… 🎵
What i write is valid and helpful. @@petesdrum
No music, mechanical playing.
No one ever taught this guy that if he doesn’t have anything nice to say he should stay quiet. 🤫 🤐 yes, yes, I know this is the internet, but is this really necessary⁉️
The comments are a forum. It's open. A few remarks on quality are not to be abhorred. What is stupid is people like you that comment on the comments.@@petesdrum
You showing that you were taught now are you? What a clown you are.@@petesdrum
Phrasing could be improved in 5th section.
Here, this guy is practicing his comments for his audition as a piping judge, however, me thinks he misses the mark 🎯… 🎵
What mark did I miss?@@petesdrum
Lonely sad little guy 😂
When someone offers perspicacious comments it is a sign of weakness to then make disparaging remarks about their personality. According to you I am somehow Lonely? Somehow sad? and somehow little? I won't venture to guess what form of mental constipation afflicts you. When someone says something you don't like to attack them personally shows that you are a weakling. @@Callllum

Please stop playing these overplayed old tunes that we have all heard countless times. Try and do something fresh. Pipes are boring enough without sticking to the same old tunes for years and years.
For those of us that are still learning the foundations of higher level playing, we appreciate these kinds of examples. Reachable and well played. 🎵 I’m a drummer and this is a great version to play along with. Very controlled and rock steady! 🎵 🥁
I felt both tunes were a little rushed and no "Lilt".
Get your ears checked
Wonderful piping.
Killer Burls
Why do I see two pipers but hear one? Impeccable timing. Great job!
You can hear only one piper until the the repeat of the second measure then you hear two for one note when one piper went into the third measure , great recovery , pure class
And impeccable tuning!
If you hear only one, you're not listening. These are two exceptional soloists, but they are doing a pretty bad job of playing in unison, for players of this level. They haven't bothered to tune or rehearse together. I'm guessing this was just an encore of sorts after they had each played some solos, which is a normal thing to do. They prep their solos, but they don't put much effort toward playing well together. It's just a bit of fun that they don't seem to care about as much as their solos.
Thank you for your comment on my post from three years ago. But you sir, are a jerk! I was giving two fellow pipers a compliment as they are well above my skill level. I will keep any future comments to myself until I reach your level of critical critiquing.
@@StratCat5282no need to take offense or start throwing around insults. I'm just saying that these world class soloists usually do these group sessions after playing their solos that they prep with care. I'm not insulting them or you or anyone else. The fact is that they don't prep these group sessions with the same care. It's generally understood by their audience that this is just a bit of fun after their solos. I don't see what it is about saying so that should upset anyone.
Magnifique, superbe ...que dire...la perfection est de ce bas monde
I have been playing these tunes for very long time now ,but to hear them by a duet. Aye man, that's taking difficult to another level. Beautifully executed .Exquisite. Steve
Was this in Salina Kansas USA by chance?
Yes it was!
Great to see Brian Donaldson back doing his thing. Two top level players 👍🏴🎼
Absolutely beautifully played. I played this very M,S,R and nobody ever called entertainment value. You play it and play it well William Richmond.
PERFECT! I will keep piping so I can play these tunes :-)
Lovely pair of tunes! Proper finger twisters!
Lovely pair of tunes! Proper finger twisters!
Ich hatte bei Willi Unterricht und es ist eine der nettesten Lehrer die ich kenne und er hat uns auch viel beigebracht.
I've just found my MSR for next year. What a set 👏👏👏
Highland Wedding is usually what people play in a MSR set for entertainment not so much solo competition. You ought to be thinking of something more technical like the 93rd at Modder River or Huge Kennedy.
Excellent execution and expression
Iam not surprised look who's playing
